A small, exclusive hotel with personal flair. It consists of 2 buildings, Altstadthotel and the Residenz, located across from each other in a quiet side street of the city’s pedestrian area.

Guest need to be told about procedures for driving to hotel.
Charming old building, good bed, proper bath and great location. A memorable hotel.
Shower needs a thermostat. It is necessary to walk with your luggage for about 10 minutes and pay 20 euros for 24 hours parking but this helps preserve this wonderful old town.
They did not tell us there would be noise from the adjacent disco reverberating in our room all night. No sleep. Also sign in front claims this is a five star hotel - more like three if you don't mind not sleeping. Breakfast was not included and they wanted 24 euros. Avoid this hotel.
have liked the location of the hotel, very close all needed places. Suites are very specious and clean
Easy walking distance to all the sights in aldstadt.
Long walk to parking lot. We were lucky to get the only available space.
Inside of the hotel is quite nice. My room was spacious and staff excellent and very friendly and helpful. Complimentary drink offered at the cafe was lovely.
The hotel is hard to find if driving alone and there is a doorway close to the hotel entrance along the river that confused and concerned me.. I struggled to find the entrance and because it's a one-way street, if you miss it you must drive over the river again. Also the parking is about 250 meters from the hotel in a public garage so you should drop off luggage at the reception desk before parking. This was not a problem but I did not know this ahead of time.
Didn' like that the windows go to an inside place of the Hotel.
Very good location
Pity for the lack of parking and for the absence of the spa
Just the location.
Everything. Rooms interior were the worst we ever had. Staff at the front desk and the restaurant were rude. No lights in the room. I will never recommend to anyone. I think booking.com should reconsider this hotel as 5 star.
NO air conditioning and LOUD late (til 5am!) music/party outside. Awful for people who want to sleep before 5am. Non-sympathetic staff about above issue.
The offering of a drink upon arrival
Breakfast was not included
No air conditioning in room. Very warm and uncomfortable. Had to keep windows open on a busy, noisy street. At night was especially challenging.
Nothing i liked
The staff are tough They scratched our bags They leave our bags in their hotel after the check out The rooms noy clean The carpet of the room full pf dirty
The staff were extremely helpful. Stored some boxes for us until we arrived. Fixed the noisy room problem cheerfully. Rooms were large and comfortable. Once we were given a room that faced the inside, the noise level was much better (then only heard a few people coughing as they passed through the courtyard below).
Our first room was facing a noisy street. It was particularly hot and humid. With no A/C (indeed no ventilation system that we could tell), you had to open the window. No sleep our first night. Breakfast at 26Euro per person?! We didn't see anyone in the breakfast room partaking.
No parking in front of hotel! Have to unload luggage & then drive to parking lot & walk back!
good location, a little bit old
The location is very central. Nice old building.
Service was very poor - not 5 star quality with young and untrained staff. dropped glasses, gave us obvious wrong advice for restaurants, ... the rooms are very old furnished, old smelly carpets, the "suite" was the poorest we have ever been. Really not worth the money at all.
We arrived at the hotel much earlier as planned and the Hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel room was not ready but for the waiting time they offered us free coffee in the bar.
Friendly staff, very helpful! Staff helped us with getting our luggage in.
No parking directly connected to the hotel, and not guaranteed space for loading/offloading luggage. The fact that breakfast isn't included, is less than ideal.
This was a beautiful hotel, right in the centre of the old town. We were upgraded to a suite, and the room was absolutely stunning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
The location and size of the room were nice. The view of the river from our room was beautiful.
The ventilation in the room was poor and it was too hot. We had to sleep with windows open, which was noisy, as the hotel is right on a main street. Room service was advertised as 24 hrs, but the cook was gone, so we could not order. Front desk staff brought us decaf coffee as requested, but it took 3 phone calls to figure out whether it would be possible. The bathtub & shower is difficult to enter and drain took effort to open. Hair dryer did not work.
Excellent location in heart of old town.. Large room & large bathroom
Brilliant location in the old town, rooms were very nice and clean, friendly staff. We got a free welcome drink of a glass of prosecco each.
Air conditioning unit wasn't very strong so the room got very hot. The breakfast cost €26 each a night. That seems crazy to me. We had a look at it one day and it didn't seem near worth that.
