A great hotel in the city centre, only few metres from the old town. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the stay and would stay there again.

There is not anything we did not enjoy.

The staff was most friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and out of a past era. Restaurant was extremely nice with good food and service. All and all a great place to stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Cannot think off a thing.

Although we had only booked two of the cheapest rooms, they were quite spacious, were carefully and distinctively designed, and comfortable. Really good value for money. All the staff were friendly and helpful, from check-in to the breakfast delivery and even the night porter who saw us on the train platform and came up to say hello and to ask if we had enjoyed our stay and needed any help (even though we hadn't actually met him at the hotel). I'm a road warrior with 20+ years travelling and I was very pleasantly surprised with how this experience exceeded expectations.

Clean, comfortable room, attention to detail was outstanding, bathroom was spacious, location was excellent.

This was a magnificent hotel especially if you liked the traditional Austrian decor. Fraud Shirmila and Violets in the breakfast were gems!

Great location, staff and food. Room very comfortable and pleasant.

Prime location (opposite Mozart's residence), 2 min walk into the old town. Luxurious building and furnishings. All staff were extremely polite and attentive. Very large opulent rooms. Well worth that little extra - treat yourselves

The staff was wonderful, especially Christine who did a lot of bookings for us and gave us great ideas of what to do with our time in Salzburg! Buffet breakfast was so nice and served in a beautiful room!

The hotel is very charming, but could use a bit of updating with beds, linens, towels, carpet, etc.

The bathroom leaves something to be desired size.

Loved the old world charm of the hotel and staff. Very European in style. Location excellent in terms of city centre, opposite Mozart' s house and close to the river. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Restaurant food was good and maitre'd Peter was a real gentleman. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

The only small negative was that there is no provision for making a cup of tea in the room.

Great, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean hotel in an excellent location in a beautiful city. Lovely restaurant for breakfast with an impressive spread. Our room was ready several hours before checking in time.

The manager of the hotel was very professional, he arranged that I got a better room, he was very polite and concerned about my problem. The rest of receptionists helped me to arrange excursions and a trip to Flachau, which was fantastic.

The first room I got was very small, looked like a 3 star hotel. The receptionist Ms.Mayers was very unfriendly and arrogant. She gave false information about breakfast time. The way she treats guests is unacceptable, especially in a 5 star hotel. I was totally dissatisfied with the room, she couldn't offer me any better options and refused to check me out with giving the money back for such inappropriate accomodation. The beds in the rooms are old. The hotel needs renovation.

Good classy hotel centrally located

Staff were super and very friendly. Restaurant excellent. Cleaners friendly and efficient. Breakfast waitresses were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Receptionists were always smiley and friendly.

One thing. Lounge area was not very warm and spent more time resting in my bedroom than lounging downstairs

Room way too small for the price and rating of hotel. The decor was like a 3 star. We ate at the restaurant and the meals were below standard for a 5 star. I read similar reviews but thought to try myself and agree with the others. The hotel should be taking actions about this.

Everything. Toiletries were excellent. Rooms were well appointed and very comfortable.

Other similar quality hotels offered complimentary beverages and food, at least water and fresh fruit. No on-site self-parking. Would have liked separate bath and shower.

Beautiful Hotel in a great location of the city. The Staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast included was excellent. We plan on returning to this wonderful hotel and beautiful city.

Personal and professional staff, excellent restaurant, very clean and stylish.

This hotel was so beautiful. It is in a perfect location across the river from many attractions, yet within walking distance. This hotel far exceeded my expectations in service. They answered all my emails and made sure I was completely satisfied in any requests I made. They remembered every detail I asked for in planning a special trip for my mother and even remembered me by name every time arriving and leaving the hotel. They went above and beyond in my requests to make it perfect for her. If you want luxury, beauty and to be spoiled, this is the place to stay.
