I travelled with my husband in Dec. It was really nice although it's a bit far to walk to the hotel from the main station. But you can reach it within 5 mins by taxi (which we should have done it at the beginning!). They have a very clean bathroom and it is 10 mins walk to the centre. Love it there and would love to come back if we are in Salzburg again.
No egg for breakfast.
No coffee tea making facilities. There was a coin operated machine in lobby but no tea.
Location was good. Comfortable beds and excellent maid service kept the room spotless. Staff helpfull at all times.
Lack of lounge area to sit and relax after a long day sightseeing.
This hotel is extremely clean. The twin room is spacious. And you can ask the hotel to book your day tours. The Salzburg card can be bought at the hotel too. There's a lift that serves every floor.
There is no reception after 9. So if you are arriving after 9 better let them know or you will be stuck outside the hotel. There is also no safe box in the room.
really close to the city and a good brewery. They have a 6eur parking lot. Wifi is fast, and coverage is good. Clean.
no soap in the bathroom. Its a 20 cent thing for a hotel. The bath soap was a usless thing, it is liquid, flows out of your hand. The breakfast is a joke. Really. Only lever cans, no meat or cheese, vegetables or any other thing. Do not buy it.
- friendly staff - good price-quality ratio (if you don't want to spend a lot, one of the best in town) - parking for free - close to the city centre (2 bus stops or 15 mins walk away) - international tv channels (2 from our country but better than nothing!)
- very unconfortable bed (we were there for only 2 nights so we didn't bother to complain or ask to change room, but I can say it was very unconfortable!!) - smelly corridor, they should paint or renovate the carpet maybe - room appliances had some problems
Staffs are very nice, they explained eveything about the way to tourist attraction. A room is very large where there is one bedroom , one living room and one bathroom. Quiet place and nice beds, very good to sleep.
Hotel is located a bit far from train station if walk but I catched the bus from train station where bus stop not far to the hotel. The room price is a bit expensive for young travellor.
Nice position straight the town center, private parking and not noisy. Brand new toilet room.
A bit old style, but comfortable
Lights above bed did not work. Bed terrible, like sleeping in a hammock. My girlfriend asked for another duvet because she was cold and the night staff were very rude.
Close to City center (15 min walk), solid breakfast, clean and tidy, free parking.
The lady of the front desk has been very helpful and took efforts to explain me where to go in the city and when would be the best. It's easy to find and 15 minutes walk to the main sites
I booked a single room which the bed is directly under the window. Feels a bit cold at night.
The hotel staff were exceptional, engaging, but the room needed an makeover. It was a little too far from city center than I would have liked. We did not pay for the breakfast. Americans are spoiled and think breakfast should be included. It did have free parking in a lot across the street.
Drove from Wurzburg, realised that we would be late. When my husband called about 8pm, lady was not happy. No reception after 9pm, she left a key for us. We got in after 10pm with our luggage in, unfortunately the front door was so heavy, it accidentally closed with the key outside when we brought our luggage. Tried to open the door, it was impossible. No buttons to open from inside. We got locked in. Anyone could enter the hotel or we all could be on fire but not able to escape from the front door. We called the lady again and she was very angry. She suggested to send a taxi to get a driver to open the door because the owner of the hotel lives far away. We agreed. When taxi driver came to open the door, we had to pay him over 12euros. Unbelievable service. This lady was very rude and shouty on the phone, sort of accusing late arrival in german. Further more, while we we waiting for taxi, we realised the funny noise. Well, it was from the fax next to reception desk, basically public area.We realised the payment details are coming through. So my payment details must have some through also with card details whe we paid. The room was OK, but we will NEVER come back to this hotel.
Easy to find Very helpful staff Quiet Warm Only a ten minute walk to the interesting parts of Salzburg
Charming receptionist gave as a quick rundown of the town. 15 min walk to the old town or bus nearby if you wish. Free parking even after checkout. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Very comfortable traditional hotel with free private parking. Not too far to walk to the old town
Location was great. Price point was reasonable. Staff was excellent!
Very outdated rooms, minus the flat screen tv.
- location - friendly staff - free parking
- weird room (ordered 3-bed room - placed in a 4-bed room with some kind of working exit to a roof-platform) - dislocated, unsecured parking place without lights
Free parking in front of the hotel, walking distance to the centre.
Some of the staff got extremely surprised that we arrived at 10am, like it was a sin and no-one should arrive before 1pm (but they have space for the luggage). Reception closes at 9pm which is a bit unusual for a city hotel, if someone arrives later will need to arrange a box for the keys.
wlan ist gut
Nice lication. Friendly staff.
The small rooms are really small...
far from train station
Breakfast was a joke
close to sightseeing spot. just take bus no.2 u can go hbf station~ very kind reception- told me everything i have to see. cozy and warm(very large even we booked small one) u can keep luggage
