Decore and hospitality staff
The faded imperial grandeur and historical references. Good location in the city.
Some of the older staff had a touch of arrogance in their interaction which was not friendly. Guests can choose to stay anywhere they please and won't return if not welcome. Bathroom facilities could be much better. Restaurant does not feel imperial nor 5 stars.
The regal interiors, just beautiful marble as far as the eye can see, fantastic bathroom, bed luxurious, our room divine and staff on their toes at all times, President Clinton was in house during our stay, that speaks for itself !!
Can not fault this hotel.
Room was amazing and we ate in the Opus Restaurant which was stunning. Also easy location to stroll around Vienna. A lovely romantic stay.
The main reception with the fabulous hallway was being re-done which we hadn't been told so had to check in via a temporary reception and missed the full Impact of the grandeur of the hotel Beds in the room creaked a LOT which didn't help for a restful night and I'd have expected more than a cheap hair dryer attached to the wall. A shame there was only one running machine in the fitness centre.
Not much since we did not feel confortable in a situation where works are being done to the Hotel...Not worth the money paid...
I did not like that the Hotel is in a renovation...and the main Hall reception is closed. It does not rapresent the OLD ELEGANT style of the Hotel Imperial of Vienna. You should advise your clients of this situation...at least until the works are finished....
everything.... i felt like a royal living in a palace
internet connection is not very good
the hotel is stunning
The building the room
Bath room and bed unconfortable
Everything lived up to my very high expectations on my recent second visit. Very highly recommended, the hotel is inspiring, relaxing and has very efficient and pleasant staff. You need to stay at it at least once in your life !
There is nothing that you will not like at this hotel. I am entirely pleased with my visits and will do so again.
Bad Staff, awful room service, a huge renovation is needed in the rooms, the awfully dirty and old carpets and bathrooms, poor breakfast, if you have small children its not a good option to go to this hotel as they dont even know how to wash baby bottles . The air conditionar was not working the first night so we slept in an awfully cold room they send someone the other day to repair it upon our request, i did not enjoy our stay at alll.
The decor, professionalism, location and comfort.
The price of breakfast. 39eu is too much for a buffet. There is a lovely cafe across the street for a 1/3 of the price.
Location is excellent. This is a true luxury type hotel of vienna. In good condition too with ongoing upgrades.
The staff were mediocre. Not always polite and not what you would expect from this standard of hotel. There seemed to be a smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building, corridors and rooms. While some countries may not mind this travellers from "indoor smoking ban" nations may find this upsetting. We travelled here on honey moon and despite our agent highlighting this to the hotel prior to arrival, we received no recognition from the staff or in service. This conflicted with our previous stays in other places where we were often upgraded and given free drinks. Could do much better!
Unique "Viennese" atmosphere, classic interior, cosy rooms, excellent location.
- very polite and helpful stuff - the design is especially made to make you feel like a king / queen - the bathroom design is awesome - the location is very very good
Gorgeous rooms with very comfortable beds. Superb breakfast !
Clean, neat , and efficient. Just like it was when we were last there in '85.
They're in the middle of reconstruction, which now includes the forman dining room. The menu is thus quite short, and evenings, we ate at the Bristol. Reconstruction will be done in 1 year; we'll go back then.
