Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth    

I have travelled to more than 50 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels and the friendliest staff I have come across during all my travels was in Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth. They were absolutely outstanding and I can recommend this hotel to anybody. Loved it.

The bed had a footboard which is a bit of an issue for me as I am relatively tall. This however is the tiniest of details as everthing else was perfect.

The location was excellent. We could take the metro from the train station and in about three stops be one half block from the hotel. Also, we could walk to almost all the popular sites for tourists. The employees were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was included and was great. The bed was a bit firm which I liked.

Location couldn't be better, right in the center of Vienna. Staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.

"Kind" parking service for 34 EUR per day plus 2 EUR as a fee for payment via VISA credit card! Surprised? No! :-)

Excellent hotel in the town centre. Most major tourist attractions in walking distance. Comfortable, clean, friendly personnel.

My room was next to a courtyard where a noisy elevator was located. I assume most other rooms are more quiet.

great location, lovely rooms - we booked 2 single rooms and were allocated 2 double rooms - spacious , lovely bathrooms etc.

Tens of recessed halogen spots on ceilings with no dimming...made the rooms more like conference rooms than places to relax.

The bathroom could have had a bit more stuff. No toothpaste. I asked from the reception and they provided me with one, but mentioned it was "emergency supply".

Have just stayed at Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth for two nights and it provided a very central location for both shopping and sightseeing. Lovely room, spacious enough for a king sized bed along with a table and chairs. Easy check-in and the staff were very helpful organising a guided tour with a pick up from the hotel. They also recommended a great little restaurant which was only a 5 - 10 minute walk away called Artner am Franziskanerplatz. It was very good and very close so I would also recommend it. This is not a five star glitzy hotel but it is beautifully presented, well positioned and the the style is in keeping with the historical essence of Vienna.

They made me feel very special. I could see how much they tried to accommodate me in every way. And the location is simply perfect. I couldn't have stayed in a better place.
