The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring all the sights of Salzburg. The Italian restaurant associated with the hotel is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. The lack of air conditioning in temperatures of over 35 degrees Celsius was a bit of a drawback. Street noise from having to have the windows wide open all the time was a bit of a nuisance |

staff where extremely helpful, breakfast excellent- just a pity they do not offer other food for lunch/dinner Just the lack of air conditioning with tempsof 92 degrees during our stay which admittedly was the exception. However during summer it would be good to have the option! |

The location was perfect. There were many great restaurants nearby and we could walk easily to all the sights. We had an apartment for our family of 4. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and I appreciated the liquid soap provided in the shower and by the sink. Cleaning service person was very nice and maintenance man also very nice. The breakfast was quite good and convenient. We liked all the art pieces throughout the hotel and in our room. The location and gate were a bit hard to find. I was glad that I called the hotel before to reserve parking. The staff person was very helpful and told me about the gate and what we would need to do, but it was still a little confusing. Once we found it, though, it was easy and parking was great. |

The proximity of the hotel to the old town and castle. Also very polite and helpful staff at the desk. For a 4Star hotel, we felt the decor of the bedroom was jaded. Also the comfort and furniture was poor for a 4Star hotel. |

Location was very good and staff was very helpful. We got 'family-room' which was like a summer gottage. We expected more luxury from four-star hotel. At least bathroom was clean and modern. Also lack of AC was disappointment, but that we knew before arriving. |

This is a charming hotel with a great location just below the fortress and easy access to the Getreidegasse. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were spacious and decorated with antique furniture. We also appreciated the free wireless access in the lobby. There is no restaurant in the hotel but a good Italian one right next door. We were totally satisfied. |

The hotel is very centrally located to the historic part of the city. Out our window we had a view of the fortress on the hill. |

The hotel was beautiful and in a fantastic location. Everyone was extremely helpful. I will be recommending to any of my friends who may visit Salzburg. Trying to get luggage throught the entrance while there was a function on the footpath and entrance way. |

Driving to the hotel was difficult due to one way street and entrance gate to street that required a special ticket. |

We really enjoyed the friendly efficiency of the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you to all of them. Enjoyed the breakfasts and breakfast staff. Loved the location and the ambience. Our room was pleasant and comfortable and the view to the Capppucinberg was great. We would like to have a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea of coffee from time to time. Also it would be handy to be able to charge meals from the Trattoria back to our room. These are not dislikes so much as suggestions. |

Staff was helpful, excellent English speaking, location was excellent for all Salzburg activities. Alittle difficult to get to, behind parking gates at main street entrance, but once found, is excellent. |

A pleasant, comfortable hotel, located within the historic centre of Salzburg; with its own parking, albeit limited just round the corner. Because of the limited number of parking places, you MUST book well in advance. Breakfasts were very good and any number of restaurants are within 10 minutes' walk. |

The hotel had a very good location in the old town of Salzburg. The staff was always very helpful and the hotel facilities (sauna, breakfast room) were very good. Our room was not very big, the bathroom was especially small. It was better to keep the bathroom door open to stand normally in front of the washbasin. |

You are in the center of Salzburg. The city points are a 5 minute walk. Its not a 4 star hotel. Ok you are in a 12 century building...but our room was not as good as expected. In the upper floor the windows are to high. |

I liked the individuality of the hotel and the fact that each room was different and I liked the use of traditional Austrian antique furniture.I enjoyed the breakfast. There did not seem to be a comprehensive fire system but maybe I wasn't looking in the right places ! |

This is a modest, comfortable hotel, with warm and friendly staff. The room was a little cramped, but it was very comfortable and staff were efficient.Breakfast was exceptionally good. The pillows - too soft and lumpy. |

The reception area was nice. Breakfast was good with several varieties of foods to choose from. The location is good for the cathedral. We stayed in one of the apartments upstairs. The floor smelled slightly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom needed a new showerhead and the tiles on the bathroom walls needed to be replaced as they were discoloured and very shabby looking. For a 4 star hotel I feel the decor was below standard. The bed I slept on was made up of two mattresses. One had a sinking hole in it. The other squeaked every time you moved. The staff were not helpful and got flustered when we asked questions. When we departed they did not ask how our stay was or give any of the usual courtesies. The cost of the room was dear for what it was. |
