A small, exclusive hotel with personal flair. It consists of 2 buildings, Altstadthotel and the Residenz, located across from each other in a quiet side street of the city’s pedestrian area.

Bed bugs were a problem
Wonderful location and lovely hotel.
Great location in the old town.
Room was supposed to be a superior double room but really small. Breakfast was really disorganised
Booking was messed up but fortunately one of the staff eventually went out of her way to resolve it and with huge apologies
Wifi virtually non existent and temperamental.
Great location, in the heart of the altstadt. The staff was super helpful, very friendly. Great rooms, very cozy with great views of the fortress and altstadt. Nice breakfast with a lot of options.
location is great, individual design of rooms makes it a special place to stay.
We loved this place, we got a free upgrade which was amazing! The staff were great and the location was excellent, so close to everything! Would definitly reccomend.
We can't say enough about this hotel! The room was fantastic! In fairness, they gave us a complimentary upgrade, so we cannot speak about value truthfully. (Ours was of course, superb.) All of the staff was very helpful, happy, and cordial. Clean, beautiful windows on the ceiling that closed with a remote. It was quiet and beautiful. It really felt perfect. The Italian restaurant on their lower floor was literally the best meal we had had in 2 weeks. The breakfast was top notch. Highly, highly recommended! We will be back and recommend it to anyone going to Salzburg.
This is a great hotel five minutes away (by foot) from all the major attractions in Old Town. Our room was a little worn looking but very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Room was ok.
Too close to the church. They ring the bells every 15 minutes for the whole night.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
Our beds were soft and rolled into the centre....pillows too thin. Room very tiny on the street front and every ounce of noise seeped in!
Cosy...for such a size place. Super breakfast. And the 'wellness' facilities most welcome after a day out.
Location. Charm. Friendly staff.
Bathroom tiny. Wash basin broken. Shower not too clean
- Location was great - Breakfast was yum - Wifi worked well - staff were nice
- Very very very small bathroom - Cupboard in bedroom used up lots of floor space
location very convenient for altstadt sights, restaurants, bars, shops, etc.bus stop in close proximity breakfast choices very good, rustic decor of hotel, efficiency and knowledge of front desk staff, good wifi
The location is excellent, It's off the beaten track of the main tourist areas in Salzburg, so is therefore very quiet and relaxing. The building is lovely and old, and the reception, breakfast room and all public areas are very well looked after. We were upgraded to the S1 suite, which was incredibly spacious with a roll-top bath in the room. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Unfortunately, we didn't realise the severity of the main issue until we arrived home. When we first arrived and looked around the room, I noticed a small bug in the bath. I got a tissue and disposed of it, thinking no more of it. Unbeknownst to me, my Fiance also found several of these little critters around the bed, in the crack of the plaster behind the headboard, and around the bedside table. Once we arrived home, a few days later, we noticed that we were both covered from head to foot in bites. They were red, itchy and formed linear patterns where we had been chomped on. After consulting a medical professional, there were deemed to be bedbug bites. It wasn't until this point, that we both realised we had come across the blighters several times in the room. No, I fully understand that older properties can suffer from this problem, but please do something about it and not just assume the problem is everywhere and doesn't need to be dealt with. I have since done some research on this hotel and read other reviews where this problem has occurred. Such a shame.
Very good location, close to Cathedral, Fortress of Salzburg and so on. Facility is not new but clean.
Fantastic location in the middle of old town and a very short walk over the bridge to the main city centre. The room was comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.
- I was tired enough to sleep well...nothing special - bed is OK - poor brekfast
- very far from Airport - taxi to Exhibition is cca 40 euro... - no walk around in the night!
It was a beautiful suite, with balcony and skylight. Unique and spacious. Skylight above the bed looked up at the castle. Easy location and the restaurant was good, too. We ate two of our meals there.
the location was terrific, the rooftop balcony was a real treat
the room became pretty stuffy if it was raining and the window closed automatically (loft apartment)
Walking distance to everything. The Dom, funicular, shops, Mozart bridge. Restaurant and restaurant staff were exceptional! Rooms quite comfortable and bathrooms fine. Amazing breakfast too. Lots of excellent choices. Fascinating old building. Enjoyed wandering around looking at Pat tings and photos.
Women at front desk pretended not to know English when we had questions or needed directions. Gentleman working nights was very kind and quite helpful.
the room is quite small.
