The room was nice and quiet and the hotel is in a good location situated in the middle of the old town area. Very handy to local buses and virtually at the foot of the castle, Would definately recommend to others. We did request a quiet room when booking and appreciated the fact that we actually got one!

The hotel was a traditional Austrian hotel and the location was excellent for all the main sights in Salzburg. The staff were friendly and the room was a decent size and very quiet. There was a good breakfast choice in a very charming breakfast area. My husband and I would be happy to stay there again in the future.

The only problem was the hairdryer kept cutting out....

No air conditions, maybe a fan could help and it was also a bit noicy from corridor and breakfast terrace

Our room was so small we had to walk through the bathroom to get into it. The bed took up almost all of the room. no room to sit. We had to sit on the bed. The bath sink space was too small.There was no room for our toilet articles, even our tooth brushes.. The rooms should have individual safes there were not even individual safe deposit boxes in the office.

We enjoyed everything about the hotel. Excellent plus friendly service and accomodation plus good location for all sights. The hotel and room was lovely with traditional charm but modern facilities. Well appointed rooms which were extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast room and food was lovely, fresh, quality, plentiful and varied. Made for a good start to the day. Enjoyed the pictures on the wall of old Salzburg etc. Can only recommend this hotel as faultless and would stay there again.

I like the location in the altstadt, the old fashioned style mixed with modern comfort, friendly and efficient staff, second time I stayed in the hotel and loved it this time as well

Wonderful breakfasts, prepared with imagination and generosity - quite unlike other hotels where we have stayed. Secondly, the hotel's situation, hidden away just off the main tourist squares and yet immediately accessible to them, makes it quiet yet central. The staff were also extremely helpful in suggesting an out-of-town visit to Burghausen and in ascertaining train times to check its feasability.. And it was not expensive!. Exceptionally good value.

It was perfectly located for the purpose of my visit to the Opera, everything was within easy and safe and picturesque walking distance.

This hotel was perfectly located, right in the heart of the old city Salzburg. It was within walking distance of all the best sites, and was very quiet, since it was on a pedestrian zone. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to meet our needs. This was one of the nicest European hotels we have ever stayed in. I was able to open my windows and hear the church bells ringing or keep them closed if I didn't want to hear them. The breakfast buffet was delicious and provided many options. We will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very eclectic and cozy, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay most comfortable. Whether it was recommendations for eating dinner are finding a local drugstore to buy baby necessities they never let us down. The breakfast and coffee was definitely worth looking forward to every morning. Delicious! The location was perfect. Not once did we have to get our car out of parking. We were within walking distance to all the sights. I would highly recommend this hotel!
