Hotel Shermin  

I never managed to see the personnel, but everything was well arranged in advance, no questions/problems. I got the code to enter the building by e-mail, and on arrival could find an envelope with the room key and covering letter waiting for me. The room is spacious enough, clean, with all necessary facilities. Bathroom: towels, gel/shampoo etc., hairdryer. The location is good, some 5-minute walk from Karlsplatz, Secession and Naschmarkt. People said it was quite noisy due to the tram, but with window closed you would never even remember of it. I never close windows though, but I don't care about noise... Didn't have chance to grab my breakfast, but it was included in the room fare, so all in all, real value for money, recommended.

Great location close to city centre and train station. Healthy breakfast choices and complimentary tea/coffee.

Some rooms have more modern facilities and others are a bit outdated. Luck of the draw!

Excellent position: 5 min to Opera, 15 min to Stephansdom, very close to Secession building and Naschmarkt, 15 min to Maria Hilferstrasse. Wi-Fi + a computer in the hallway at guests' disposal. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean room (same for the bathroom).

Furniture is simple, windows are old (nevertheless, the room is warm enough). Walls are thin and neighbors are sometimes audible.

Nice big room with lots of space to work. Very peaceful.

The reception was very often closed, so it was hard to get in touch with any of the staff. When they were around they were helpful and friendly however.

Very accessible to public transportatioin (trams & U-Bahn). Quiet location.

Bare essentials. Few amenities. Staff accomodating but only present a few hours in the morning and evening. Key code was changed and emailed to us. Fortunately we had access to email so did receive it. Otherwise we could not have gotten in when we arrived. Would not recommend for extended stay.

Clean, comfortable room in a good location. Located about 5 minutes walk south of Karlsplatz station which made it a good location to explore Vienna. Breakfast was included and was fine, nothing special. The reception is not always staffed so ensure you contact them a day or two before arrival to ensure you have the code to get access to the building. I would stay here again.

The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was ideal.

Old carpets, sewage smell in the room, broken bed frame, uncomfortable mattress, no wifi in the room even though it was advertised as such.

Very clean, simple room. Great en-suite with good shower. Very good location, and exceptionally helpful staff. Would definitely go back.
