I spend quite some nights in different hotels in different places: Shermin is outstanding! Breakfast is very good and my room was stylish, new, clean and comfortable. Great job!
The hotel is superb, clean, and the staff cares for the guests. Breakfast was beautifully displayed and very tasty. They cooked eggs to order as you like them. They even packed our breakfast before we went for our tour to Salzburg. Each room got a nice bottle of champagne for New Year's Eve before midnight with chocolates. They made us feel so special with their warmth hospitality.
Our room did had a little problem with the TV because of their satellite connection.
Overall it is a decent choice, though I think a bit overrated on Booking and TA. Fair value for money for Vienna standards, interesting design in rooms as you can see in pics. Staff helpful and breakfast pretty good given the price (10 eur). Good location, walking distance to anything.
This is a B&B occupying the 1st floor of a a shared building with appartments and offices on the other floors whatever this could mean. For example during our stay there were construction works (drilling, hammering) taking place on the floor above (i reckon it was offices) which started around 8:30am on two days. Noise was annoying but not unbearable and I didn't bother to complain as I was there for 2 days only and I doubted hotel could do much about it rather than going through the hassle of changing room. As it is a B&B not all hotel amenities are offered (eg 24h concierge etc). Not an issue just something guests need to factor in.
The location was central to the sights and had many conveniences located within blocks of the Saint Shermin. Dry cleaners, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants were located within a block. A tram stop and the metro were right out the door. Breakfast and the service was good. The bed was very comfortable. The wi-fi was strong and reliable.
Our room was in need of maintenance. The bathroom trashcan was broken, the make-up mirror was missing, and the walls surrounding the sink and shower are painted with flat paint, showing water marks and stains. There are no bathroom shelves other than under the sink behind a towel rack nor any space around the sink to set even the smallest of toiletry items. It would be a simple addition that would go a long way towards traveler comforts.
spacious room (12), good greakfast, steady wifi, helpful staff, good location close to centre, great and very comfortable bed,
it is not a pension in a common sense - just a store in a house of flats, window to a light well only with an opposite window from the breakfast room, very small bathroom with wc
We received helpful information from the hotel and Booking.com. The location is great - quite trendy and relaxed, good bars and restaurants, walking distance to the flea market and city centre. Rooms are big and spotless. Service is very good. Nothing to complain about at all and would love to go back.
Breakfast excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly--nearly all spoke English. The hotel is in an excellent location, can walk to most important sights/sites in old Vienna.
Wasn't too happy with the bed or bed pillow, but they were manageable. The room was too warm, easily rectified by having the option to open a window.
Location, location, location!
Shower too tiny. No 24hour staff.
Loved our room, the breakfast, the amenities - most comfortable bed, amazing tub, bath products, beautifully decorated space...nespresso machine in our room!
Didn't love how expensive the airport transfer was - would have liked to have been told how much before it was confirmed so that we could have had another option if we wanted.
Staff were friendly and accommodating, bedroom was really interesting and we loved the bath in the bedroom!
Staff is kind and some of them indeed excellent
3 days out of four I had problems with Internet and tv So spent evenings in the lobby to capture net Unfortunately it took too long to resolve and it does not really correspond for the promise of a room with tv and wi-fi
Everything. This hotel is beautifully appointed. It is very stylish and quirky. Took photos of our room for styling ideas on returning home. The breakfast room is gorgeous. Our best hotel in Europe during 8 week vacation travelling to many different countries
Care in every detail. Beautiful big room, great bed.
Helpful and intelligent staff and superb location. Value was exceptional. This is essentially an unusual B&B - given that it is one floor of an office building - so not grand but we will return
Not much to dislike. Breakfast room was pretty crowded because small but the variety on offer and the presentation was top notch.
The location is a maximum of 10 min. walk from the main pedestrian shopping street and the Opera House. Even closer to a large underground train station with 3 underground routes. Restaurants and bars in the same street and a large supermarket across the road. Our room was comfortable and we looked out onto Rilke Platz. It was wonderful to open the windows for fresh air. Breakfast was excellent and ranged from fruit and yogurt to salmon and eggs! We will certainly stay there again.
Bathroom very small, but facilities were in good working order.

Where's the champagne??
Good location, comfortable room, nice breakfast.
Awesome rooms, comfy beds, great service, yummy food in a really great location. It's unique, fun & fantastic. I'd come back again.
We had some trouble with our TV- we couldn't watch any if the movies and stuff. However we were so busy in Vienna it didn't make a massive difference.
Very clean room
Invisibility of staff. The emphasis on champagne has no baring whatsoever on the place, no welcome drink provided as implied. Tea n coffee available from reception but would've been preferable in room. Outside traffic/building noise very intrusive. Definitely still a pension as opposed to a hotel.
Wonderful breakfast, strong wifi, and very friendly staff.
Construction within the building.
very good value for money, very clean, staff do everething to help you, perfect location to reach all possible sightseengs (what was the goal of my trip)
my room (11) was facing very calm inner yard,BUT there is a restautant downstairs (very good by the way!!!!) and I knew what they cooked if I opened the window)))
Location Quiet. Comfortable Bed Good Hair dryer Shower
nice staff, competent, pleasant, great location close to the center and for the location reasonably priced
the corridors are too dark, no ilumination
Size of the room Breakfast
Bathroom very small No lobby Entrance is a dark hallway under construction. No 24 hr desk service. No room service. No laundry service. Can hear doors opening and closing all night. No ice. Breakfast not included Entrance looks bad
Location was fantastic Very clean room Shower was great Great toiletry selection Quiet Friendly, helpful staff
