Excellent restaurant that serves fantastic meals with bar facilities. Close to the train (station opposite) and a short walk into town. Castles and Melk Monastery a short drive (10 minutes+) away. Bicycles available for loan although we were unable to secure them due to being already out. Staff excellent throughout and very helpful.

Very friendly staff - attrium room basic but clean and tidy and to the rear, so nice and quiet - bus station directly opposite to the hotel (no 4), perfect way to get into the centre of Salzburg (brilliant) - Hotel does sell the Salzburg Card => free public transport and free entry to most attractions - anytime again. Not really a negative - just a remark: could not stand upright in the bathtub to take a shower - but hey - not everyone is as tall as me and the room had been on the top floor in the Attrium house and therefore limits due to the pitched roof. Big plus of the room : very quiet as to the left hand side (away from the street) - anytime again

Real old style hotel the guy behind the desk is what you would expect a traditional austrian to look like. Food good, room clean, parking adequate, what more do you want?

Booked this hotel because we thought it would be like an authentic Austrain "Cukoo Clock" hotel but its not in a very nice area and is on a scruffy main road. Ok for a one night stop over and had free parking but you wouldn't want to stay much longer Staff were not that friendly and the rooms looked old and tired. No tea and coffee making facilities and extremely small bathroom.

This was a reasonable hotel for the price and the description on the Booking.com site was fair. The staff were helpful and there was easy access to buses to take you into the city although they did finish at 23:30. The hotel is located on a busy main road and the location was definitely not picturesque. The first room we were put in was noisy when the windows were open and one of the bath towels had a "dirt" on it. We complained and were promptly moved to a large quiet room in the main building. The only issue with the new room was that the plug in the sink didn't work and we couln't drain the water. This was promptly fixed when we reported it. I think we may have had bad luck and our expereince may not be representative of the overall quality of the hotel.

This is the second time we've stayed here, so can't be too bad! Frequent buses on the doorstop to take you into Salzburg; we found this easy to do even without speaking German. An inexpensive hotel, it lacks 4-5 star luxury but is clean, comfortable and good value for money. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room but one was available at reception. We would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Good location just out of city centr, with parking. Bus stop across the road to get to town & out front of hotel on return journey. Taxi from down town to hotel cost 10.50euro (buses cease operation around 11pm).

The location was quiet and convenient. The bathroom was quite small with the hand towels hanging down next to the toilet. It would have been helpful to have a couple of hooks on the door to hang clothes on as well. The room was large and the beds comfortable but I wish there had been a luggage rack so we wouldn't have had to keep our suitcases on the floor.

Nice room, good bathroom. We enjoyed our stay. Bus from city centre pulls up in front of hotel. A 24hour ticket makes getting around economical. A bit out of the way but with excellent bus connections. Toaster at breakfast would be good for us non Europeans.

The maid threw away our toothbrushes, I got two new brushes at the hotel reception after a lot of arguing with the receptionist. The hotel should improve the description and photos presented on the site, they do not correspond to reality.

Very friendly staff. Helpful for finding transportation, and locating interest points in Salzburg. Internet however was poor in the room at best. Internet was better in the hall by the stairs, fading as you moved down to the end of the hallways.

“One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The warmest atmosphere, cosy rooms, nice old-fashioned furniture, restaurant in a tavern style, abundant buffet breakfast. Every detail of the meal, interior or service is thought through. 10 minutes by car from the city centre. We felt like we were at home.” Yulia, Moscow |
