If, as I once heard a client who's a hotelier, say that the 3 things that make a good hotel are location, location and location, then Ibis Wien Mariahilf is a undoubtedly a great hotel. Superb location -- just walking distance from Wien Westbahnhof -- it is so close that when I tried to hire a taxi, the taxi driver himself suggested that I walk. And, depending on your inclination, there's a Church as well as a strip joint conveniently located just across the road (ha ha !). But, seriously, there's even a tram station just outside the Hotel's door. Can't really ask for a more convenient location. Further, Mariahilfer is the main shopping street of Wien. For vegetarians, Cafe Westend is 200 metres away. All this for eur 69. a steal !

It was great all the way as far as I'm concerned...but since you asked, perhaps a bath-tub in the bathroom would have been good.

Wonderful hotel staffs. Very courteous and helpful. Booked taxi for our return trip to airport and personally looked out for us when the taxi arrived. Help us hold the doors while we carried our luggage out the hotel. Hotel restaurant is small but food is delicious. Service stuff came over to check on us to make sure everything is ok too. Very enjoyable stay. We had a triple sharing room which is resonably large and had nice view of the city and the church across the street. Can even see the mountains on a clear day. Best part of the hotel - very near to tram stops as it is directly outside the hotel. Very accessible to either the train station or the city. Walking distance to the shopping street just a street away.

My only grouse - the front hotel entrace which we entered from had a ramp but it was blocked out and not accessable. We had to carry our heavy luggage down a few flight of stairs, which caused us some inconvenience.

Breakfast was good, esp the coffee. Room is comfortable, well equipped.

The staff member who checked us in was terrible, however. She blamed us for having made the booking via booking.com a few times, making it difficult for her to find the latest booking. Well, it is her job to do this.

Hotel location is good. Breakfast need to pay eur10 but have variety of choices.

i had very difficult trip...so i´m angry because i paid 171 euros for one night the anothe i lost and the responsability is airfrance but you never have time in phone to cancelor give time to explain the problem. in five minutes i need to change my room ...your condicionete air fail the bed bad and the pillows too the bathroom is horrible thanks a god i have shampoo and soap and i pay in guaranttee 20 euros for one electric convertidor, never thief...so it´s my opinion ok

This was my third stay. It actually seemed even better then before. Excellent value.
