The location was handy for the railway station, just ten minutes walk and the evening meal was "lecker" / delicious.
Although the hotel is a little out of town, it is a pleasant work along the river. The location is reflected in the price, which was reasonable. The staff were very helpful.
Staff smelled of cigarettes.
Due to our late arrival, the hotel called us the day before to give us instructies about the key, etc. Great hotel; clean & spaclous rooms, nice breakfast, busstop in front of hotel (although we preferred walking off all the beer & sausages ;-) - only 20 min.) Staff was friendly; haven't seen them most of the time but am sure they'll be very helpful should you have any questions.
free parking, wifi, no additional charges, staff speaking croatian
bathroom size and the fact it has a window into the room and a glass door, CRT tv, no elevator
First of all, the room was very spacious and very lovingly designed; I particularly liked the bathroom/shower, but let it be a surprise for any incoming guests :) Everything was perfectly clean. A lot of cookies were waiting for us all around the place. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant. The internet was the best one I've seen so far (even better than my home!); very fast and excellently covered throughout the building. Private parking is available and the bus stops just in front, so you can use it as well to go to the city center and not bother finding a parking spot, however it's anyways a 20min walk... Everything was truly amazing and I would seriously recommend this hotel to everyone; you get much more for the price you pay.
Nice breakfast, nice rooms and good WiFi, location is at Bus stop , so can take public transport to center, or 15min walk.
Breakfast was great. Unfortunately we had to catch an early train on our last day, so couldn't enjoy it again.
Climbing to the third floor with suitcases was a bit of a problem
Very good breakfast. Some staff were friendly; some not. Bus at door. Very nice shower.
A reasonable walk from the train station in the other direction from the old town. Better to stay closer to the old town. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the hotel smelt very smokey even thought it is a non-smoking hotel.
Excellent room Parking Great WIFI
Very poor breakfast 2km from the city center
If you enjoy the European customs of dogs and smoking inside then this will be the perfect place for you to stay.
It was Xmas and I specifically asked for two rooms close for the children to be near us and this did not happen. When the room near them was vacated they would not let us move. The rooms had open windows and glass doors making using the bathroom tricky with a brother and sister sharing a room. Told it was a twenty minute walk to town from the acc this was impossible and not a straight forward route. Taxi fares added to the cost daily. Our bathroom smelt and despite asking for it to be cleaned the smell remainded and was horrible.
Friendly staff & nice breakfast
- cigarette smoke getting into the room... not well tightened door bottom, would need to be fixed - no lift in the hotel, especially for the rooms on the third floor it would be helpful... it's Ok when you travel light but it might be a surprise for those carrying a heavy luggage...
the bed is really comfortable, location is not far from the railway station, 10-minute walking distance.
the room was not a twin bed room for my friend and I, but a department outside the hotel, which is a little bit strange and not safe for us two girls. The eggs served at breakfast were not riped.
The staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Bus stop right outside the hotel takes you into the city in 10 minutes or you can walk down in no time at all. The breakfast choice was vast and just what you needed to start the day. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again
The employees of Itzlinger Hof really make this place wonderful place to stay. There was a slight mix up with our reservation (we got in very early in the morning and were supposed to have a room available that we had booked for the night previous. Room was occupied, however when the receptionist showed for work, she immediatly got us into another room, and they did not charge us for the night we had booked). I also left my backpack in a local restraunt and the receptionist called the restraunt for me and had them find and hold my backpack. I will definatly stay with Itzlinger Hof again the next time I am in Salzburg!
Good service and cleanliness of the hotel . Cosy room, nice breakfast and strong wifi..location 10mins walk from train station
Very good breakfast and excellent staff. The location is surprisingly good, within walking distance (15 minutes slightly uphill) of the main station and with number 3 bus stops immediately outside. We bought a 24 hour city ticket which allows multiple journeys on the efficient bus and local train system within the city boundaries - buy tickets at main train station on arrival. Prices in Austria were surprisingly good value
located near the main train station, public bus stops conveniently in front of the Hotel (5 min ride into the old city or minutes walk); breakfast was good (7.00 - 10.00am) with selection of local cold cuts, Muesli, cereals, yoghurt etc. and excellent bread rolls and grain bread's
no elevator, no telephone in room, boiled eggs included for breakfast but surcharge for scrambled, fried eggs or omelets
a nice place to stay (I already stayed several times until now) - their free parking is essential for me when I come to Salzburg by car. Besides, the hotel is close to the part of university I am often visiting. It is not so close to the city centre though, but has a bus stop just by the hotel - so access for touristic visit is not really a problem. Kind staff - needed to ring the receptionist (using a button at the reception) to serve me when I arrived, but then she kindly helped me to park the car into a tiny space between the hotel and the bus station (as the parking was already full). it is a quiet place for an urban hotel, the price is great for salzburg.
no complaints really
The breakfast spread was not that varied; Paying by card was not possible due to some technical issues
Free parking is a big advantage
located in a quiet neighborhood, very comfortable room, clean and quiet, with good style. very helpful staff
a smoking restaurant
We really liked that our room had also sofa in it. Bathroom was also quite large. Breakfast was excellent.
We expected to get room in one of lower floors (not 3rd floor - building has no elevator) - our booking description said that for this price we will get it but in the end we didn't get it. If we come back next time we will first check if anything is available in lower floors and wait for the confirmation from the hotel staff.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a lovely view of the mountains. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Bus right outside took you into Salzburg in ten minutes.
The pillows were too soft and flat. There was no toaster at breakfast. Although the restaurant meal was nice it was expensive for what you got. No lift, had to carry heavy bags up several flights of stairs.
Comfortable; free parking
Lack of elevator could be difficult for some
