Everything, very clean, quiet, comfortable bed and delightful hosts.
My fault, I did not take into consideration that my hotel was quite a long way from where my friends resided. However, I would stay there again and use taxis rather than Public Transport.
The apartment (family) is very good and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and fresh and plenty:)) The location - close to the train station that links with the U subway. The staff is very nice and helpful, especially Alexandra - a very special person and a wonderful host! Special thanks for the great birthday breakfast prepared for my 10 years old son!
Atmosphere; ambiance. Couple of good restaurants within walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff.
While easily accessible by public transit, city center was still fifteen minutes away.
We loved relaxing with tea in the shady garden after a strenuous day sightseeing
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice food
Room temperature was too hot at night and keeping windows open was very noisy due to passing traffic - air conditioning would be a great improvement but I still liked the stay.
The staff, from the welcoming handshake, to the final goodbye, where friendly, helpful and all of them always smiling. It does make a big difference.
Not a complaint, but air conditioning in the rooms would be a real plus for the future.
We found Vienna a wonderful city to visit with all the wonderful archecture, history and sights. We both have to say that starting our day with the WONDERFUL Hotel Jager breakfast was certainly one of our highlights...with the staff hospitality, Andrea, Sophia, Helene with their welcoming personalities and helpfullness made our stay very pleasurable. For the cost of the Hotel it measured 10 out of 10! Thank you Hotel Jager!
I wouldn't say we "didn't like" the fact that we faced the main street and due to no AC, we had the windows open and it tended to be noisy and a bit warm, it was way down on the list of negatives. IF we would have had AC and the windows closed for instance at night, it would have just strengthened our delight on being at Hotel Jager!
The nice relaxing garden to sit and enjoy breakfast or a coffee. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was good with the strass bahn near by so the center of Vienna was just 10 to 15 minutes away. You will be happy for the price! Wi Fi was great too.
Jäger Hotel is a kind of home in Austria. The atmosphere is very good! The staff is great and the owners are a family, always present with guests, making everything to make our stay the better possible! Sure, I recommend this nice hotel!
Great little spot right in the city.Enjoyed your comfort and hospitality very much.LOVED your beautiful garden and outdoor breakfast area.Your rooms were very clean and well appointed .Your staff was very friendly and accomodating. We will definately be back. Thanks again,Linda kralik
street noise but that is out of your control.
Nice staff. Very helpful. Even made a sandwich for me to take as I checked out before breakfast. Easy directions to catch tram into town.
First I was traveling with my sister...the categories in number 1 didn't provide this option. We loved our stay here. We especially loved the little terrace and garden area. The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Parking was a bit of an issue but we found a space on the street in back of the hotel 2 nights in a row. We were fortunate.
Staff were excellent. Breakfast was also very good.
Not as close to the city as we would have preferred.
Andrea, the owner and her team is excellent, kind, considerate and friendly. The breakfast is marvelous. The garden is well planted and maintained. Sitting there for breakfast and reading is so comfort. There is a big supermarket within 2 min. Transportation to town is easy. 1. take tram 43 to Schottentor Universitat (around 15 min.) where connect to subway U2; 2. take S-bahn 45 to Ottakring (1 stop) where connect to subway U3.
our room is a bit smaller for two person and luggage.
People is very kind and polite and have a great breakfast.
Just a little bit away from downtown but with a real station near.
Very comfortable room. Convenient to transportation. Beautiful breakfast! Staff very friendly and accommodating.
All staff was tremendously friendly and helpful.
Fantastic friendly staff, perfectly clean room, the staff spoke our language, divine breakfast, beautiful garden. Warmly recommended, we will definitely return :)
The staff were friendly and very helpful. I felt at home very quickly and felt able to ask for help and guidance. Breakfast was lovely. It was a home from home.
It's a bit of a trek in to town but that allows some commuting and rubbing shoulders with the locals. Being British I am a little obsessed with tea, and not having free tea on tap was difficult but the lady at the desk was very happy to get me hot water and to chose a tea.
Friendly staff V.clean, tidy and well presented rooms Excellent breakfast
Staffwas especially very helpful and service oriented.
Very friendly staff, who speak excellent English and are always flexible and attentive. Family owned hotel, which has been in the family for several generations. The grandmother and daughter both still work at the hotel. They take pride in it - and it shows. Nice breakfast. Not very close to the town centre, but excellent transport links, both to the centre and to Schönbrunn (by train). Good restaurants nearby. Nice little front garden to sit in and have a coffee.
We booked a room for 4, but one of the beds was a pull-out and too narrow for both the kids to sleep in it. They gave us a separate single room for free, but still, it's worth checking in advance if there are four of you, to make sure you have a room with two genuine double beds in it. I'd say the hotel is quite pricey, but if you appreciate a friendly, "cultured" atmosphere, perhaps it's worth it for you. The rooms look out onto a noisy and busy street, but the windows are very well insulated. However, if you go in the summer, check to make sure they've got air conditioning that works, because if not it would be unbearable. Note that the hotel has no facilities or services to speak of, and no restaurant - it's just a nice place to stay the night and have breakfast. For this reason I'd say the 4-star rating is perhaps an exaggeration, though I don't know how these stars are awarded...
Clean, beautiful garden, great breakfast choices. Quiet.
Quality of bedding Pillows and Duvets and hairdryer.
We were there after reading many excellent reviews on trip advisor and elsewhere, and we are happy to report that they live up to their reputation Everything was very very good, the staff and the owners who work together hard (but smiling) to please you every minute of your stay, the charm of both the hotel and the lovely garden upfront (both being decorated tastefully), the family atmosphere (Lina, the family dog has a contribution to that ;), the quietness, the room and the bathroom, the breakfast, the neighborhood, the location and the connection to the Ring by tram 43 (that runs every 4-6 minutes; the ride to the Ring – and back - is 10-20 minutes, depending on the time of the day and of the traffic), the supermarkets within 5 minutes walk up to the Hernals blvd. (Spar Gourmet and Billa) etc. Overall, one has the feeling of a little cozy family hotel. Also the guests who choose to stay there are very nice, quiet, and polite ;) We would definitely stay there again. The photos posted on their website and on other booking sites are accurate. The rooms are newly restored and clean, bright, they don't smell etc. The furniture is also nice, new, and clean. The room we were accommodated in was one at the second floor facing the back street (207) – we asked explicitly for a quiet room, as we are trouble sleepers, and it was indeed very quiet. The minibar in the room works properly and it is very useful; the same is true for the safe and for the AC. In the room only cable internet was available, as WiFi worked only in the lobby, the dinning space, and in the garden, close to the building. The breakfast had a diverse offer and good quality, a special note for the homemade cookies. People who are full figured should be aware that the door of the shower cabin in our room was less than 50 cm wide. Traveling with a lot of luggage could be also a problem in a room like ours.
not WiFi in the rooms
Good location - 15 mins tram ride from center Vienna - very clean and excellent breakfast.
