Opened in November 2014, Motel One Wien-Staatsoper is just 165 ft from the Ringstraße boulevard and 325 ft from the State Opera.
Score from 28 reviews Wonderful
The Levante Parliament is a modern, centrally located designer hotel right behind Vienna’s Town Hall and the Austrian Parliament. Most important sights are within easy walking distance.
Score from 776 reviews Excellent
This family-run 3-star hotel is in an Art Nouveau building in the Josefstadt district, only 325 ft from Vienna’s Town Hall and the Rathaus subway station (line U2).
Score from 939 reviews Very good
The air-conditioned Hotel Alpha Wien is in Vienna's elegant Josefstadt district with its numerous historic buildings and Town Hall, and just under a quarter of a mile from the Rathaus Underground...
Score from 1508 reviews Very good
the hotel and rooms are not like in photos in website !!!! (really less beautiful)
We liked the size of the room and the position of the hotel on a quiet street with a tram into the city just around the corner.
The air conditioning and the shower were poor also the staff were not particularly welcoming.
Good all round room with one or two noticeable exceptions
No kettle and very poor wifi connection Tap in sink was also poor
I didn't like the smoking area in the court yard, because our room was right next to it - and the smoke came in in the mornign.
Lovely big room overlooking interior courtyard so no noise from the street. Very comfy bed.
Lobby area a bit awkward and pokey. Not very welcoming layout, which is a shame as staff were very good.
Great breakfast! Went twice to Helene's for dinner. Easy walk , good food and ambiance .
Close to Metro and all the attractions
Location and Staff
Stayed there for 4 nights and below is my comments: 1-Surprisingly AC doesn’t work at night time 2-Water pressure of the shower is 2 low 3-Poor Breakfast 4-WiFi doesn’t work at all (out four days was able to connect 30 min “cumulative”) 5-Old small slow elevators
After complaint made, staff member who dealt with us could not have done any more, she was a credit to the hotel, unlike the staff member who booked us in. Room was clean and good facilities. Parking free at the weekend, otherwise parking charges extreme. Close to all sites, within easy walking distance. Breakfast good, good choice.
Initial room given (although, advised they had 'upgraded' I would not believe it, I am sure that this was not the case and if anything I felt we had been downgraded !! Could not get WIFI at all, carpet looked as though it had not be cleaned. This room was changed once we had advised of these difficulties. Although, the bathroom was lovely, the shower enclosure did not really fit the corner bath resulting in water going everywhere.
Excelent location, park place available, adorable breakfast
2 booked rooms was too far from each other
great spacious rooms with comfy beds, fantastic breakfast, close to city center
parking was a bit expensive (22 euro/day)
The hotel is near to the old city and metro
We had a wonderful stay in this hotel!!! Staff were all polite and extremely helpful. The bed was fantastic and we always got a great night's sleep. The room was well appointed, and the Klimt art theme around the hotel was a great touch for a taste of Vienna. The hotel was slightly out of the Old Town centre, but very well positioned with regards to tram and U-Bahn transport. Also located in a quiet lane, so transport was not a problem. Could have just about thrown a rock and hit Rathous Platz or Parliament, we were that close to these great locations. But I've got a pretty good throwing arm, so that should be taken into consideration.
Location was quite good as the hotel is close by to many of Vienna´s must-see places, we were upgraded to a ´privilege´ room which we thought was nice (except for the view - we were facing a hotel wall...) - but all in all, a good 4* hotel we would probably consider again for a similar (long weekend/ sightseeing) type of stay in Vienna.
Nice room, good breakfast, always too busy at the desk
Not one message was ever successfully delivered to Mr. And Mrs. Keefer. I brought flowers for their room the night before and when they arrived, they had not even been put in the room. I had to call and ask them to find my flowers. Never got one of my messages!!
No A/C and room was very hot, front desk manager argued with me that that is the way it is. The hotel has A/C and the rest of the hotel was cool but our room next day it was fixed after more complaining, not the way we wanted to spend or vacation!
The hotel is centrally located in a quiet street close to the underground and a tram that takes you past the Rathaus, Parliament, the Hofburg, the Museumsquartier and the Opera. The breakfast is magnificent and the staff attentive and friendly.
Fantastic location. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.
Everything was good
The location and furnishings were nice, and the bed was comfortable, and I had a lovely terrace off my room. It was also helpful that there was a fridge in the room.
The room was shockingly small, even though it contained a double bed, and there was no place for luggage that would not block a door. The water in the bathroom sink was on a motion sensor and you could not change the temperature, so washing my face was tough. The hotel is a labyrinth and it took me quite a while to find my room once on the correct floor! Based on my room, this cannot really be called a 4-star hotel.
Breakfast was my favorite. All personnel had a smiling face and were helpfull.
Sometimes there was a problem about wifi
Most of the staff were delightful and very helpful. The room was a suite and the extra space was nice. It was well positioned close to all the sights which we could walk to. It was a quiet hotel on a quiet street and the garden area was lovely. I liked the complimentary internet and was able to print my boarding passes.24 hour on site. The general standard of repair was good
The night porter (one grumpy sour faced woman) when we arrived tired and late appeared brusque and unwelcoming in manner and when I got to the room (along a slightly dingy faded corridor) and found it cold there was no spare bedding. I rang down and requested an extra quilt -this was at midnight but she told me she was busy with other guests and would be at least half an hour. She never turned up with the extra quilt. There was a lack of info in the room about breakfast times/local info which would have felt welcoming and the info about the safe was locked inside it- I was unable to open it. The next morning the cleaners gave a short knock and barged in without awaiting a reply. The room lacked enough space to spread out make-up/hairdryer etc such as a vanity table. which would have been nice. The breakfast at 17 euros was in my opinion overpriced and lacked cheaper options for those without the appetite of 'Billy Bunter'.
the Hotel is around the corner of the most important part of the city center and provides a lot of opportunity by that. It is very well renovated, but still remained the stylish old fashion appearance.
Breakfast was quite limited in the offer.
it will be better to have earlier chack in than 2 pm
The location was good, the lobby was pretty.
The lobby is nice but misleading because the rooms are down darkly wall-papered hallways that give an old and dingy feel to the place. Rooms are small in size, with an unpleasant feel to them. The staff were abrupt, almost rude. Expensive to pay for hotel parking.
