We went to Bregenz to visit the opera and we stayed for two nights. The opera was amazing. The lake was beautiful with opportunities for a boat trip or you could hire boats and pedaloes etc. Nice and not at all tacky. There were lots of nice cafes around the lake and a lake path that was nice for a promenade. The town was small and comprised local shops and cafes. It was pretty and close to the station. There was a cable car that gave stunning views. A very pretty and relaxing place to stay for a few days.

Bregenz was a pleasant surprise. Has lots to see and do.
Bregenz was a pleasant surprise. Has lots to see and do. Shopping and restaurant area is great to walk around. Lots of trees and seating.
Old town up the hill is beautiful , took lots of photos, the whole of Bregenz has some interesting architecture , both old and modern.
The lakeside area is set out really well. Boats come in out out taking you to lots of different sites on the lake into Germany and Switzerland. There is also good public transport to everywhere.
Bike tracks and walking tracks along lake set out really well.
Enjoyed sitting at sunset bar over the water.

Hotel is not worth the money.
Hotel is not worth the money. Broken shower, no air con, swimming pool is basically a cold puddle, only 1m deep and very small. The gym is also one machine. When we were checking out the receptionist tried to charge us €20 for a bill at the bar which we didn’t go to.. don’t choose this hotel and you’ll be happy :).

Surprisingly enjoyable town, not too large, can easily walk around and train station convenient.
The pier was a nice walk and a good spot to get an ice cream. Going up the Pfaenderbahn is a must, great views and a nice circular walk for burning off kids energy looking at alpine animals. We visited the Narrowest House in Europe (can just stand outside, so a quick sight), at Kirchstrasse 29.
We also took the train to Dornbirn for the morning, it was well worth the trip on a Saturday morning for their market in the town centre. (It starts to close up between 12 & 1pm,, so get there early). Great spot to grab lunch and a beer.

Beautiful town, right on the water, with many nice restaurants and a nice casino. The train looks like a fantastic option as well as the boats for getting around. My wife and I plan to come back for a nice adult weekend!

A must for enjoying a city with beautiful surroundings:...
A must for enjoying a city with beautiful surroundings: lakes, mountains. It has the most beautiful bike ride tour opportunities (Switzerland, Germany & Austria) and the most beautiful scenery with the city and the lake. Really charming.
We did not really book a tour there, we just rented city bikes and started riding to Germany, manage to go to Friedrichshafen and back.
You can stop as many times as you want and the weather was perfect, fresh but warm enough to dive into the lake :)
The Pfändernbahn was definitely a highlight. You can take the cable car but we didn't realise (until we were there and paid for our two way cable car ride) we could have hiked all the way up and down. :) So, once we were up there, we hike all the way down and once we were in the city, we hiked back up :) And then we took our already booked cable car ride to the city. Fun, really :) It takes around 4 hours if you hike at a normal speed (slow would be 5 hours or longer). But it's a one day adventure. I really enjoyed it and afterwards you can go to a restaurant and enjoy a few extra sweets ;)
Bregenz is lovely, charming and has character.
I had a lovely stay at Haus Edith. The host was very nice and knowledgeable of the area and places to visit.
The room was perfect for what I needed. The location was good and you can easily walk to most places in Bregenz, if you like walking. Or there are plenty of buses and trains. You can also get the ferry from Bregenz Harbour to other countries.
I ate at the restaurant attached, Nosta pizzeria, on the last nice and the pizza was delicious.
It was a lovely, quiet accommodation and would definitely recommend it. Thank you for having me.
An amazing experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
There is a garden with a bar, music and food that create a perfect place to wind down after a long day out and about.
The location is great, a 2 minute walk and you look over the beautiful bodensee or are in the shopping district.
For the more adventurous type, a 10 minute walk takes you to the foot of the pfänder, a beautiful mountain with a gondola ride to the top and plenty of hiking paths.
I stayed in Weißes Kreuz when I was in Bregenz to see opera. Staff was really helpful and explained how to get to the Spielhus AND how to dress. It was rainy night but due to helpful hotel I had fantastic experience. Breakfast was good and I also ate in the hotel’s restaurant. I had to wait table for 15 minutes but they handled situation really well and offered me a beer. I will visit Bregenz again and stay in the same hotel.
Luxus Penthouse represented Bregenz for me. Bregenz was a hidden gem, so was Luxus Penthouse . Our host was very helpful and accommodating. I do recommend watching the instructions video before arrival ( I couldn't do it but was needed 😜). The apartment is outstanding, modern, clean and very well equipped. Very close to the city center. The parking is secure and easy to park even big SUVs.
Room we got is very spacious, bright and comfortable, like a studio. Hotel is close to everything. People are very nice. We got lake view room. It's partially blocked by a parking lot though. I think the view with hills are very beautiful too. I agree with other reviews that this is a good hotel to stay, location is very good.
The room is super clean and super nice view. They have everything you need (or even more than I need). Feel like just staying at home. Nice location, can walk around easily. Very friendly and helpful owners. I could check-in earlier and check-out a bit later! When I’m back to Bregenz, I will be back at this place for sure!
Contemporary design in an old structure, very nice and cosy rooms, very good restaurant with local dishes. We stayed several times in this hotel and would come back again. This time we also celebrated our son’s graduation in the hotel’s restaurant. Thank you for the nice evening!
Hotel is about 10 minutes easy walk to main train station but can also be accessed by a nearer Bregenz Hafen station by just few minutes walk. There's a lift so no worry even with big luggage. By just few minutes walk, you are at the lakeside.
The location can not be beat. Directly on the the walkway of the Bodensee. Air conditioning was perfect. Breakfast had all you could ask for and the staff was very help full from the moment we arrived to the time we left the hotel.
We stayed there one night for the Bregenz Festival and it was perfect! The beds were firm and comfortable and the air conditioning in the room worked properly in spite of 30+ degrees outside. So we have really rested in the hotel!
It's in Bregenz city centre, very close to the main town points.
There are several easy car parks close to the hotel and the railway station is also no so far from there.
Breakfast was good!
Facilities are excellent & clean, breakfast was delicious and the location is not so far from Bregenz (if needed, there are also bus stops nearby).
So, all in all a wonderful stay.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast.
Bike garage including charging point and a mechanic if any work or repairs needed.
