Friendly staff, the hostel is in the city center.
The noise in the budget rooms. Well, that's why they are budget :-)
Hostel facilities are very clear and this fact produce positive impression. Guesthouse is situated on silent small street, but nearby the railway station (Westbanhoff) and metro stations. Also ca. 15-17 minutes by foot from main museums. Good wifi in rooms.
Good acoustic in main corridors: you can hear well when anybody open or close his door. No any kitchens on the floors - if you want boild water, you should go to the main dinner room near reception.
Location, cleanliness, excellent staff
The traffic noise in the budget room. However, this is why it's budget, so it's definitely not a problem of the hostel. One is warned in advance :-)
The lady on reception was helpful, approachable and very friendly. It was lovely!
One of the best hostel I've ever stayed. Great facilities, kind staff. Rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. The shower is excellent. It's calm, silent, and a good play to rest.
Very clean room , helpful staff , good organization in guesthouse , wifi
Very clean, excellent WiFI. I met nice people there. Two HOFER near the hostel, that is the best discount to buy cheap but good food.
Expensive breakfast. This hostel is not cheap with respect to what it offers. Old structure, only nice bright colors make it look better. Poor shielding to external lights; poor acoustical insulation from other rooms. Position is not that good: it's in a relatively degraded are of the city. I often met quite unpleasant people near there (doped and drunk), that I did not meet in other areas of Wien. Also, cheap parkings are far away.
Friendly staff & the whole place is kept very clean.
+ Nice wifi connection, works in the room + really clean + towels, bathrobes, soap + sink in the room + you can leave your baggage at the reception and pick up it later, so you don't have to carry it for the whole day if you arrive early would not recommend for economic travellers, since Vienna itself is expensice and if you can't cook anything in the hostel, eating out is not a cheap option
- No kitchen for guest to use. No kettle, no tea, no nothing. You can only buy coffee for 2 euros and the breakfast is 8 euros per person, you can order it too.
The atmosphere (decoration, design) Nice staff
Location (20 min by foot to city center, 5 min to main shopping street and subway station)
This is a former monastery that has been converted to a hostel. It was extremely clean and calm. My room had a private sink. Towels were included and bar soap.
The cleaning staff is very loud in the mornings. They will most likely wake you if you like to sleep past 9am.
Very clean place with cosy decoration, close to the metro station. Bars and restaurants in the area.
Little problem with parking - it's hard to find free places.
Location is good iа you travel from or to Westbanhof train station. The area is well developed with a lot of cafes, bars and shops. The city center is reachable by direct metro line and takes 5-7 min. The lobby of the guesthouse looks like a hotel. The shared shower and toilet were clean and even shampoo was provided. Wifi works in the room. Towel and bathrobe were clean as well.
The most important issue for me was the fact that someone had attempt to open up my bag's locker at the first day. Then I had to write a note to not touch my staff and further attempts were not discovered. Kind of unpleasant experience. There is no lockers in the rooms as well. During my 4 nights stay the towel and bedsheets hadn't been changed and room was not cleaned at all.
Good location, great value for the price, proper breakfast, spacious room, very helpfull and friendly staff.
Rooms on the street side are noisy, Hostel could have more toilets and showers - might be difficult when it's full.
2 blocks away from the main shopping street that leads to the 1st district (main tourist area). Bathrooms look clean. There is a tram right in front of the hotel that leads you to the main station westbahnhof (from there you can take a metro to town/international train station). Single rooms have their own sink, which is nice :)
Walls are too thin, sleep gets disrupted whenever someone comes in next door. Toilet just a bit too far (but the cleanliness made up for it). Its a bit creepy having a cross above your door. I have stayed in christian inspired hostels before but i never have a cross planted in my room. Im quite tolerant with it but its quite out there i guess. In summer i think we need at least a fan, it gets too stuffy in the afternoon :( Area is a bit unsafe to walk at night (lots of empty shops/dark alleys etc.) Try to use the tram if u get back at night.
Helpful staff, clean room, good facilities.
Breakfast is not included in room rate. A bit far from attractions, have to take metro go around.
Room was clean and quite large. Bathrooms were clean.
Room needs a fan or A/C as it got super hot so was impossible to sleep. Location is quite far from the center, takes about 20 minutes on the tram.
location, clean, friendly staffs
Location was perfect as it's right next to a big train station and therefore close to metro, rooms were clean-looking and the common showers were very nicely done
everything is white, but I guess that's a style choice.. and not really something very concretely negative
Everything is good other that one downside
Noice suppression in rooms is quite poor, you hear when someone is walking outside your room or in near rooms.
Fantastic hostel. Its no more than a 5 min walk from Westbahnof subway station, two blocks from the main shopping area, and an easy walk (or subway) ride into the historical core. I had a twin room which was well priced and comfortable. It had robes, lots of towels, an extension cord so I could plug everything in, a desk...everything you could want! The hostel had an elevator making it easy to carry your bags and wifi was great. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to others.
Nothing! Even the shared bathrooms and showers were great! (maybe the 8 euro breakfast? Seems a bit steep. Though I never saw it so maybe it's worth it).
Location, price and cleanliness.
How christian the place is, pictures of jesus and a chapel in the hostel was slightly odd.
location was nice
I stayed in twin room with my friend. Mood of the room was like i stay in the hospital room. just two beds and everything was white. and you can hear the sound of the beside room's people talk and noise of closing the door other rooms. It was so annoying.
The location was quite confortable
The shared bathrooms were not so clean. The breakfast (8 €) was a bit expensive compared to what it offered.
The breakfast, super!!
Check out at 10 am, they have the room available until 3pm
