Fantastic village and its surroundings. Air - a dream.
Fantastic village and its surroundings. Air - a dream. Hush - you hear the beating of your heart. For the first two days we were looking for attractions, somewhere further. Then we discovered that it is enough to look around the area and it is BEAUTIFUL. Easy mountain routes, waterfalls, the charming town of Gmünd nearby. If you treat Malta as a base - many tourist attractions are very close. Great food at very decent prices. If you plan a longer stay, it is worth to buy the "Kärnten Card", especially when you intend to use Cable Cars or Panoramic Roads, also Boat Trips etc. You save a lot of money (of course, everything depends on the intended activities).

The breakfast buffet was also very good and accommodated every sort of diet (vegan/ lactose free/ gluten free, etc.) They also had both healthy and unhealthy options, and the sort of foods and snacks one eats when they go hiking.MariaAustria

Unfortunately it was a snowstorm during our stay so we could not do any hiking as we wished, but the hotel was very cozy anyways. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has all you need.
