Wonderful staff. The hotel manager speaks russian, he helped us to park for free and explained the system. Good location 3 min walk from the subway. Big walking street with shops and restaurants right near. Interesting place to live, it is old house with antique paintings and furniture. Good buffet breakfast with omelette for 5 euro. There is no elevator, most of rooms are on the 2d and 3d floors. In double room there are 2 separate beds put together with a hole between them

The staff were very helpful with any requests for information etc. Although some reviewers think that it is a bit out from the centre we did not find this an issue as the Metro Underground is only 2 minutes walk away. The room, although basic, was very clean with a great shower and it was also quiet. There was nothing to complain about.

chief menedger Zarko was very friendly and always helpful - he let us to stay for several hours longer without extra pay; Zarko speaks very fluently English and Russian, probably other lanquages too; good location of hotel - on the main red metro line not far from the center; long shoping street (Favoriten) is 100 meters away from the hotel; good price for your money. beds are not attached to floor and seems moving in different directions on their own :) no elevator

1) The manager Zharko speaking at least five West- and East-European languages (including Russian), quite fluently at that; he was very helpful 2) The interior of the lobby, still retaining the air of the 19th century, when the hotel was established 3) The hotel is rather conveniently located, as the tram stop (Tram O) is just opposite it, and the underground station (Keplerplatz) is nery near. 4) The shopping street is just a block away 1) No lift in the main building 2) They didn't change the bed linen during our 5-day stay; they did change the towels when they were left on the floor, though Still, I would recommend the hotel to a budget traveller!

The room is new, big and very clean unlike the photos posted on website. Breakfast is good, it's the only place where I could have sausage and scramble egg while travelling in Austria. The staff is kind, friendly and helpful. I really like this hotel

Close access to underground and trams making it easy to get around. Nearby walking street. Easy to reach from airport. Interesting hotel history, very helpful owner, clean, good beds, all we needed. The hotel is on the corner directly across from tram o stop. If you arrive after the reception desk closes at 8 pm, follow the directions on your confirmation paper which has a code enabling you to get a key to your room. We did not know about that so will read the fine print next time.

The hotel is situated about 200m away from the metro station Kepler platz, so it's very easy to going around the city. The staff was excellent and always willing to help. The gentleman at the reception helped me to plan trips around Vienna. Moreover, when I was asking for a phone charger, since I had forgot to bring one, he gave me a charger. Regarding the room, room was clean and good enough for a person. Price of the room was affordable and you can have good breakfast just for 5 EUR as well. This is a must choose hotel, if you are willing to travel in Vienna. I didn't find anything to write here :).

It's about a 5 minute walk from the main train station in Vienna (the new Wien Hauptbahnhof station). It's right on the corner of a shopping centre (has a bunch of cafes, supermarket/grocery store, restaurants/fast food, and general shopping), and is also about 2 minute walk from the u1 Keplerpatz station which is about a 7 minute ride to city centre. The hotel itself is good as well - the front desk spoke English, free (and fast) WiFi in all rooms/lobby, and they offer brekfast (though we opted to grab food at the cafes/grocery store for cheaper). They will also keep your luggage in a locked room if you check out and don't leave the city till later in the day. The room itself was big with two single beds pushed together, tables on either side, a desk with a small TV on it, an armoire, and the ensuite bathroom. The bed was a bit springy (meaning, you could feel the springs a bit), but we both slept very well. There's a *little* bit of outside noise, as one half of the hotel faces the street, but it's hardly worth mentioning. The cleaning staff was apparently short-staffed the day we arrived and there was left over trash in the bathroom trash can (I assume the staff happened to simply forget about it in their rush). Everything else was clean, though - fresh sheets/pillows, towels, etc - and the next day the trash bin was emptied.

Clean warm welcoming hotel. Good size rooms, very clean room/bathroom, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Good location near shopping mall, restaurants, underground and public transport. Easy access to city attractions. The hosts, Peter & Zarko were fantastic and helped us with anything we needed. We will definitely return.

The receptionist was extremely helpful, he told us about a lot of specific things that helped, especially where to park our car cheaply or for nothing. Also offered us a great room in the new wing whilst explaining pros and cons. The hotel has personality and deserves 3 stars but birocracy still dictates . Follow the reviews, not the hotel cathegory.
