Set half a mile from the very heart of Linz, Hotel Prielmayerhof is conveniently located near highway A7. It provides a gourmet restaurant with a quiet inner courtyard terrace.
Score from 289 reviews Very good
Close to the city centre, comfortable, large room, Facilities like shower, hair dryer, towels, etc, were clean. Reception area is comfortable, but at times skeleton stuffing.
The restaurant, staff was not very competent or helpful. First I asked to have the bill added to the room. They had problems doing this. Then I gave them a 50 euro note, they had no change. I had to ask them for the bill, they wrote It out by hand and I had to help adding it up. Tv - Icould only receive one station and staff could not help out to change this.
closeness to the railway station
the parking is great
I have visited this hotel with my wife this month for one night. Everything at the hotel was apsolutely fine, the hotel is really comfortable, in a great area near the city center, only that we had one unpleasant situation at the reception - there was nobody at the reception at the moment, so we asked receptionist very politely if she can make us copies of 3 papers for what we, of course, wanted to pay for, and when she accepted and started copying we couldn't believe her reaction! She was all the time rolling her eyes, sighing, saying something in german with very unpleasant attitude... While copying she was repeating ''hurry up, I don't have time for this...!'' It was really awkward and very unpleasant situation...We were completely disrespected as clients...Finally we paid for her service of copying 3 papers and for disrespecting us...hope you will educate your staff better in the future.
No wifi in room.
Very good location. It was easy for us to walk to the main street and see the town. Breakfast was also very nice and a real effort was put forth in this respect.
Our toilet kept having issues and when we mentioned it at the front desk the one morning as we went to breakfast, we were told that there wasn't anyone available to deal with it, but she'd tell the maids for later. This meant that after breakfast and before our departure, we were stuck using the bathrooms outside the breakfast room which we didn't appreciate. We were surprised that they didn't seem to have any sort of maintenance staff on hand and it wasn't very early in the morning either so it made no sense to us. Shower had issues with hot/cold constantly so it was difficult to take a shower.
Excellent breakfast. Good location.
Any time again
Immaculate, well located, full restaurant service, bike storage and parking garage. Hotel built and run by a philanthropic family.
Everything was fine
Very clean and staff is helpful and friendly.
Good location. Walking distance to centre of city. Good parking if you have a car. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
Wifi not good in room but ok in hallway
Very nice room, parking nearby, tasty breakfast, excellent location.
Although we made our reservation in february for a double room, we got a twin room due to a large group which reserved a lot of rooms, but in march.
Good location and friendly staff. Reasonably good breakfast was at extra cost.
Lack of tea or coffee making facilities in our room although we were offered a flask of boiling water and cups. WiFi only operated well within the reception area
Friendly and efficient staff, good breakfast, cleanliness. All in all this is a very well run hotel.
Matress was too soft for me. However, I am used to very firm Asian matress.
We loved everything about this hotel: the location, staff, rooms, etc., but the breakfast was the crowning feature! They have a wide organic selection, you can juice your own fresh fruits and vegetables, make waffles, great spread -- wonderful! We'd definitely stay here again. Also, the parking is worth the 10E if you're driving
rooms too small inexperienced front desk beds smaller than dorms bed crew never do any extra for guests.
Central location with plenty of parking
Fantastic buffet breakfast, and located right in the heart of Linz.
Very small, dormitory-type rooms and hallways with poor air conditioning. Seemed popular with backpackers and cycling groups, however as a family of three adults we were hoping for a comfortable, nice hotel.
Easy walking distance from the town centre; a good, all-round city-centre hotel
Great location Parking Friendly and helpful staff Clean and quite environment
rooms air conditioning is pretending to work - just ventilation it seems. Plastic windows do not give proper "breathing"for the room. Air quality is so so.
Great value for money! Very friendly staff. It's comfortable and has excellent choices for breakfast. Inhouse parking.
It's got an institutional feel throughout, true to the philantropic principals of the founder. Don't take someone there for a romantic weekend, but it has all the comforts of a hotel in that price range.
Comfortable room. Good location. Clean. Wi-Fi is stable. We recommend this hotel.
WiFi excellent. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast.
A bit old-fasnioned - but clean and ewerything worked.
A good city hotel. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Our most expensive night in 5 weeks travelling in Austria and Germany.
5 minutes walk to the Marien Dom, 10 minutes to the Bahnhof Station and 15 minutes to the Donau. The equipment is quite new and everything is confortable.
