The Penkenbahn mountain railway, the protected Scheulingwald recreation area and various sport facilities are all within easy reach. Throughout the year, numerous activities are possible in and around the village. Children are welcome to participate in the children’s program or have fun in the Igloos of the While lounge. Explore nature park Zillertaler Alpen or go hiking/biking in the mountains in summer and enjoy skiing as well as après ski in winter. The Ziller Valley awaits you with 174 ski-tracks and 636 km of ski-runs.

Travel information

By car:
- Coming from Munich Airport please take the A9 motorway in the direction
of Munich city centre.
- Change onto the A8 in the direction of Salzburg.
- After Irschenberg, which is a very steep hill, follow the signs to the
Inntalautobahn and Kufstein.
- Change onto the A12, direction of Innsbruck.
- From the boarder in Kufstein drive for about 20 minutes until the exit
Wiesing/Achensee/Zillertal.
- Travel in the direction of Zillertal and once there in the direction of
Mayrhofen.
- After passing the Mayrhofen sign continue straight, across the round-about
and past the train-station.
- Keep a look out for the sign EINFAHRT MITTE at Elisabethhotel and turn
left.
- Carry straight on, past the post-office, until the junction.
- Turn right into the main street (one way road).
- After approximately 400 meters you arrive at the Sporthotel Straß.
- Opposite the hotel, on the left hand side, is the butcher Gasser.
- Turn left directly after the butcher.
- Landhaus Gasser is the fifth house on the right hand side
