Hotel Mate DependanceBergsteiggasse 22, 17. Hernals, 1170 Vienna (Show map) Review score 7 Score from 151 reviews“Nice and clean rooms, great breakfast, nice people.”
Erich,
San Jose
The Mate Dependance is a typical Viennese hotel in the city’s 17th district, located in a traditional residence from the early 20th century. All the architectural features common for that period of time make it a traditional and comfortable hotel that lets you enjoy the city's charm and atmosphere. The rich and balanced breakfast buffet is served between 6:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Hotel Mate Dependence has excellent connections to the metro (line U6) and the tram, enabling you to reach all interesting places in the city quickly and easily. It is just 2 minutes away from the tram station and 10 minutes from the Alserstraße metro station. There are very good shopping opportunities in the neighborhood. Hotel Rooms: 47, Hotel Chain: Hotusa.

A big advantage for this hotel is the one that is close enough to the metro station that has connection to all important parts of the town. Also the staff is very welcoming and the rooms are big and clean. Parking is also possible free of cost.

We selected Hotel Mate Dependance due to the position, it was close to the place our event took place. The reception staff (especially two Spanish girls) was really nice and assisted us on giving different interesting information. The rooms two narrow. The heating was not putted into operation.

The hotel was great, nice rooms, very good location. I was only a little disappointed by the staff - they were a bit unfriendly, but the hotel was really OK.

The hotel was conveniently located near a couple of tram stops and a metro station. It was a good price. No hot water on both days of our stay. Thinking it was a one off incident on the first day we were surprised and upset to find the same problem on the second day. The receptionist, although polite, was not very helpful. Just thankful the stay was not in January

Having 2 rooms - each with it's own bath and flat screen tv was great. Street noise and stuffy room made it difficult to sleep. Beds were not comfortable. One of the bathrooms had no door.

during my stay i liked the old lady who does the serving on breakfast.i also liked the fact that they change the sheets and towels in the morning. the receptionist was really unwilling to help and very rude with us she made us feel like we were bothering her. i think thats the worst thinkfor this hotel.

The hotel is not in a walking distance to most sights of the city but it is good for the money we paid (49.5 euro per night for 2 persons). The nearest metro station is about 5-7 mins of walking. Not too easy to find.

The hotel is well connected with U trains as well as tram services. It is just 7 minutes walk from Alserstrasse station. One can't find similar boarding and complementary breakfast hotel with fast and free wi-fi anywhere in Vienna at such a central location. Thanks the Hotel Mate Dependance team. Keep it up.

The food was good, we had variety of breakfast offered. It was also close tot the Uban and not so far from centre. The room was always clean. Small room and small bathroom, but event hat is manageable. There could be internet in the rooms as well.

Good breakfast, comfortable, clean room, nice staff, good service over all The internet wasn't working for 4 days out of my 6-day stay, no wireless internet in the rooms, only at the reception area, my room door wouldn't look from inside, I had to put the fridge and the side table behind the door to stop any one coming in at night !! REported this to reception staff, nothing done !!

Service was great; reception service as well as the cleaning service. Our room was comfortable and the space was enormous. The beds are comfortable. Too bad the buffet breakfast costs €10,-. It smelled great, but we didn't have the breakfast because the expense was too high for just a breakfast. And the bathroom was extremely moisty after one shower. The whole place got wet. We fixed this with our towels, since we got fresh towels every day.

“The room was spotless and met all of our requirements. The bathroom was spacious and practical. The room overlooked a four lane carriageway with a railway system within view, but once the windows were shut noise levels were not disruptive. Hotel staff were helpful in all respects.” Ian, Stornoway |
