We had to ask for a different room because there was a strange smell in the room we were first assigned, really we could not of stayed in there. Not sure why it had a strange smell as the room seemed well cleaned.
It would also be nice if they had a proper lounge area for reading. They had comfy chairs in the reception area but not the same as a dedicated lounge area, but this is just nit-picking and we had an excellent stay there.
They changed our room for us without question. They posted my letters for me. They gave us a good quality iron to use. The staff were courteous and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
The maid service was very good. There is a mini bar/small fridge and coffee making facilities in the room, so if you're not a big breakfast person this is perfect. The hotel is next to the train station but there is no noise from this.
