The location was great as all the reviews stated. Very clean, & cleaned on a daily basis. I would not rate this hotel as 4star, the room was clean, but the carpet worn, decor dated, only x1 English speaking tv channel without paying an additional 21 euro's & not worth the 100 euro's/night excluding breakfast.

The hotel location is very good for explore the city, for shopping ( very close to Mariahilferstrasse) and is announce very good just before entering the city( there are some banners which announce you what direction there are Mercure hotels in Wien). Breakfast was very good and divers also with a good selection of cheese, a lot of fresh fruits and a good coffee( not usual in hotels). Reading the reviews of tourists I expected this hotel to be not very good, and we asked a renovated room from the beginning and this was very clean and comfortable.

The only thing I've liked was that it was close to the shopping area. I disliked everything: the attitude of personnel (no availability at all to help with any basic information), the quality of rooms (lack of cleanness, bad furniture, no space to move into the room, dryness of the air in the room, used and reused carpets inside the room). The experience in this hotel was beyond all expectation. I will never go in this hotel again and I do not recommend anyone to lose their money paying for this 2 stars hotel.

Very conveniently located next to the railway station, subway, trams and bus. You can start your tour of the sights immediately after checking in! Helpful and friendly staff. Also, airport bus leaves every 30 mins stationed just round the corner.

Free cable internet, comfortable beds, location There is no "no parking" sign for the spaces outside the hotel. Perked there, got a 21€ fine from Vienna City. The whole district is no parking, the receptionist told me later, How does one know ? The hotel parking I took for the second night costs 15€. I call that extortion. Mould in the bathroom, shower either burning hot or ice cold, difficult to adjust. Needs some renovation work. Chaotic scenes at breakfast. Enough tables, but those are not being cleared, so people waiting, some cleaning tables themselves. One has to be lucky to get coffee from the helpless staff.

Room clean and pleasant - though small fpr superior room. Dinner and breakfast very good. Some staff very helpful. Other staff not interested - for example when business corner computer and printer were not working. Staff monopolised lifts causing delay to guests.

Very close to the Westbahnhof. Personal were as helpful as possible. Pleasant rooms. Very close to UBahn, Trams etc. Would stay there again. Room was not available until 3.30pm! Seemed to be more important to keep the bus passengers happy. Restaurant told us that they couldn't seat us until 8pm. When we came down they informed us that we could not be served until atleast 9pm because the bus had arrived late!

Excellent location right outside main station. A short walk for to the tram and metro stops. Very good value for money with generous room size. Mercure is far ahead of other hotel chains and offers affordable luxury. Highly recommended, especially for rail travellers.

The location of the hotel is good. It gives easy approach to public transportation systems. The stay is worthwhile at the budget price. I use the free internet there, which is a great part to me. There is nothing to complain about. Everything is perfect.

very close to the city central train station. Really easy to get from the airport to the hotel by bus. The main reason we chosen this hotel is that it was really close to the OBB station from which we got the train to Salzburg.

The person at the reception when we checked in was good, he charged us 10 euro for a upgrade and also offered late check out of 2 pm at no extra cost. He was a very nice gentleman. Though it was mentioned that we will get free late check out, our room key was blocked at 12 we couldnt get in room and the other guy at reception showed us a roll up banner which had cost of 29 euro for late check out, which eventually got sorted but the fact that these guys dont check the system instructions left for every room, Secondly room service never cleaned tea/coffee cups and also bed sheet had blue stains for both the nights, so cleanliness was avarage

I was told there would be wireless internet available throughout the hotel, which was not the case. I was offered a renovated room with AC for an additional 10 euros per night, but the AC did not work. Overall the standards for this hotel were lower than other xxxx hotels I stayed in.

Location is perfect, just across the street from Westbahnhof Train Station. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is big, clean, and with a fantastic shower!! Rooms are not at all small like some people write on the review, they are normal size and all is very clean and well decorated. 2 important negastive things:1.The fact that you have to pay extra if you want a rom with air conditioner is a little absurd - weel, the fact that not all rooms in a Mercure hotel have no air conditioned is the aburd! 2 : breakfast costs 15 euros per person!!!! Dont pay for this: go to Westbahnfof and enjoy a marvelous capuccino with all kinds of pastries, croissants, for 3 euros!!!
