Score from 765 reviews Good
Close to the train platforms, so if you have lots of luggage you can go straight to your place. Front desk incredible, very helpful and nice. Love the room and the bed is really soft.
Not having more time to stay in Vienna.
Upon arriving at Vienna; my first stop in Europe the hotel system (apparently the many other Mercure hotels were affected I was told) was down and they could not find my booking (I had a hard copy with me). After the system was up, they could not locate my booking with special pricing. The Manager dealt with the matter professionally and we settled in happily to our stay at Mercure Wein Westbanhof. Will certainly look out for Mercure as a priority in my travels in Europe.
Location very close to westbahnhoff
quite dark room
The location and room (including its bath room) setting was perfect, so that I could enjoy a very comfortable stay.
Breakfast was very expensive and not affordable for me for every morning. The telephone number provided from booking.com was not usable at all, no one responds any time, so I had to find another number with which I could reach them.
- location at the westbahnhof
- the room too small and the furniture a little outdated
Bed too small
Location only 5 minutes walk from the U3.Very good breakfast buffet. Staff helpful. They fixed a problem in my room the same day. Would definitely stay there again
- Poor customer service at the reception desk - Lobby too crowded due to the fact there are many conference rooms right near the elevators, so it's almost impossible to walk with the trolley among so many people. - Room smells very bad, lots of dirt, no changing towels or sheets, not a 4* hotel.
-Great location (close to one of Vienna's main railway stations) -Amazing staff -Free wifi and printing (in the lobby) -Good size room -Quiet side street
-Small lift (Nothing to serious)
Near to train station
Staff not pro active in introducing the main attractions of vienna
No free wifi in room, breakfast not included
the worker behind the reception and bar where really nice!! but one little thing if you have troubles with your colleague don't argument to much in front of the guests!!!!!! everybody was so nice and helpful! really good job!
just because we look like back packers and had 50% off the normal price you dont have to put us in your worst room! i mean fungus on the wall in the bath! the ceramics in bath were absolutely dirty and not cleaned for a longer time. the room smells awfully! of course a smoking room got always a bit of a bad smell but if you take care of it to open the window using a room spray or something and clean sometimes the curtains it helps! when we tried to get out the bad fungus and cigarette smell we figured out that the window wasnt closing probably! so we had to hear the sound of the main street in vienna and couldn't sleep well! really bad location! in the hotel they had alot of water coming through the ceiling near the smoking area and reception. just awful for a 4 star hotel in vienna! i'm Austrian and know vienna really well there are much better hotels than that! we took a bad choice! asking 60 euro per night normal price! really not normal for such a old hotel! we really should have chosen some other hotel! bad luck so think about it staying in that hotel!
Location and WIFI
Staffs are not friendly and warm-welcome. I arrived earlier than check in time, they not even say greeting to me (just to say that check in time is at 3 PM). There was some construction in lobby area and room are quite old and outdated. A bit disappointment.
not a lot of cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood
Location is perfect if you come by train from Westbahnhof and if you need to take the bus to airport
Breakfast is very expensive , and I think the staff at reception dont speak good Englsih: I asked for 2 separate beds as I had requested on teh reservation and even though the receptionist said OK, he gave us a room with a double bed... double check that when you go!
Close to RR station
Service; not clean; wouldn't credit hotel membership
Location was excellent for tourism into Vienna. Informative staff. Breakfast was included in the room rate.
The bedroom claimed to be air conditioned but temperature was set at 20 dgc and couldn't be changed. We slept badly because it was too hot!
Location and AC
Room size, no latch on bathroom door from outside. Breakfast not included in room rate.
First the hotel is near the railway station which is excellent. Easily found my way there with no difficulty. It is so near to the to the subway that we could go to any place in town. The staff is great. All round good esp for 1st timer like me to Vienna. Highly recommended.
The hotel is right next to the Westbahnhof. Staffs in the hotel were so nice. Amenities and Facilities were so good.
Air conditioner needs to be in the room.
No wifi in room. No AC in lobby where there was wifi.
Safe didn't work sowe had to change the room
Proximity to the train station - no taxi or metro required. Uncomplicated check-in/check-out. Quiet room.
Expensive breakfast! Small room, but OK for just a night or two.
No internet connectivity
The restaurant, the bar, the closeness to the train and tram! Even better, it was VERY easy for us to find from the main highway.
:0 the colors chosen for the lobby. The room was small, but nice, but the pink and purple lobby left me a bit apprehensive on the first trip up the elevator!
