Located right on the Inn River, this traditional 4-star hotel is just across the bridge from the historic district of Innsbruck. Wi-Fi and garage parking are free of charge. Simple, clean, family managed hotel. Great continental breakfast! Right in the city center with free WiFi and free private parking! We were skeptical about the starry-sky-ceiling but I must admit it was really amazing!

Hotel staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Excellent breakfast Only hotel we stayed in over a 3,500 mile road trip where we couldn't book a smoking room.

We liked the fact that our son had a small separate room attached to ours, so it worked well for our family. We also loved the history of the hotel, and the fantastic breakfast which is included. The location is also excellent, just a 3 minute walk across the bridge to the old town.

Location and front desk assistance. Breakfast was one the worst I had in Europe. Very basic . The waitress working at the breakfast was not polite at all and quite arrogant. The scrambled eggs served at the breakfast were "blue" and with a very suspicious aspect. I asked the lady to prepare new 2 scrambled eggs for me taking in consideration the available eggs were not eatable due to their terrible aspect. She responded that was what the hotel had to offer and refused to prepare new ones. After that she went to the kitchen and started to laugh while telling the story about the blue eggs in german for her counterpart. Unfortunately I can speak good german and understood everything, what was very frustrating for me and my wife.

Well situated just a few steps from the main bridge over the river Inn. Also its only a twelve minute walk from the main railway station in the City. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly with good advice on weather prospects and places to visit. The hotel room was fine with a very large bathroom - separate bath and shower. The hotel does not have a restaurant other than the breakfast room. However it does have two bars including one for smokers and one non-smoking. Innsbruck is good for a winter break and not as cold as we were expecting. There is nothing wrong with this hotel

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was generous with excellent variety. Check-in employee was surly. Complained that our "car was too large and would not fit in their garage"---which it did. Advised us that our credit card had been charged seven days before arrival. (We prefer to pay cash--better for us and the hotel, but this was not possible.) Hotel room was very hot, but very noisy with window open. Although well-appointed, the room was the smallest we had ever stayed in and we are frequent travellers to Europe. Innsbruck was crowded and other, near-to-Altstadt hotels were not available. We would stay at an outlying village before using the Mondschein again. We were made to feel like intruders rather than paying guests by reception.

The location was perfect. The room was very spacious and in lovely decorative order. The tea and coffee tray facility was a welcome bonus. Reception staff were first class, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and hot food! A perfect stay at Christmas. There was nothing we disliked. A little road noise at night but not enough to affect our sleep.

We found the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly and the rooms spotlessly clean and spacious. The brand new fitted bathroom was very luxurious. The hotel is in a superb position, very close to the old town and funicular up the mountain.

Location of the hotel was first class you walk over the road and you are at the start of the city, There was a little road noise in the rooms but with this location that was to be expected.The hotel bedrooms have just had a refit dec 2011 and are very nice and clean,only thing they didnt have was the tea/coffee in the rooms and this would have been the iceing on the cake. So if you are looking to go to Innsbruck and want location this is the hotel for you as the city is just over the road.

The location was perfect for walking around downtown and experiencing the Christmas markets. Its a good thing you don't need the car once you arrive, since the parking garage is quite small and difficult to get in and out (however it is free!). The room was clean, large and comfortable and the breakfast was very good with a lot of variety.
