Hotel Neutor Salzburg    

The location is ok, pretty near the city center. The rooms look great, what you'd expect for the money paid. The design of the hotel is nice.

Parking is an issue, you can only park in a public parking place nearby, but if you're travelling with heavy bagage, you'll need to carry it all the way from the parking to the hotel (and it's not very close).

Very nice people and atmosphere for the tourists!

Easy walk into the old city, just through the tunnel, with public transport on the doorstep if you need. Great that someone caters for those of us travelling without a laptop with a computer terminal for free internet access in the foyer.

Vicinity to the city centre When in Salzburg we always stay here.

This was not in the city centre. Very close though but NOT in the centre. Quality of accomodation was 3 stars. 4stars not even in a Dream.

The receptionist at check in was friendly. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, cooked ham (not bacon ), good selection. Bed and bedding was very good. We stayed in a junior suite so it was a big room.

This is not a 4 star hotel. There were no extras such as small bottles of shampoos, slipper and no mini fridge. Rooms were tired. Receptionist on check out (not the same as check in) wouldnt let us sign for the credit card, she was quite rude and then make a joke that the machine decides if u sign or use a pin.

The balcony and the view were nice.

The room was a bit cold during the late night.

Only the location was decent, although not the best since it's still outside of old town and you need to walk which seems far when it's wintertime and you're exposed to the wind and cold. Travellers will be very disappointed to find that this hotel is expensive because of the location, but the hotel standards and quality are extremely poor. I felt like I was staying in at most a 2 star hotel. Very disappointing.

Don't risk staying here! You will feel really ripped off! After traveling all over the world I have to say that this was one of the most disappointing hotels ever. It was very expensive and the tiny room was disgusting. It smelled yucky, like a locker room, and there was the constant smell of cigarette smoke. The hallway reeked of bad Chinese food (since the annex building is right over a Chinese restaurant that doesn't seem to be in service I couldn't understand this). The room was patched together with a painting job that had been started and never finished as well as patches throughout the room with a different shade of paint. Walls were a glowing orange with green carpets and blue shades. Maybe this room hasn't been redone since the 70's since the tv also looked like it was from that era. Carpets were shabby, old and dirty. Bed linens (duvet inside) were old and dirty looking which creeped me out and the headboard had some noticeable stains too - ewwww. No toiletries whatsoever, not even a bar of soap, save for a shampoo/bodywash bottle attached to sink and shower. The heater didn't work either through the night and early the next morning the radiators finally kicked in with loud noises radiating through the room that woke us up. We were completely disgusted. We were initially in the annex building which had no reception staff and the door when we first arrived wasn't locked so anyone could walk in. In fact, the first time we saw it locked (and we were out late that evening) was the next morning. That made me feel very uncomfortable about security and safety since anyone could walk in. They had some security cameras, but I doubt anyone in the other building sat and watched them 24/7. The cameras would only be good in perhaps identifying a perpetrator after the crime had been committed, not a lot of use to the victim. Anyone could walk in since the door is on a side street.

It was very close to the Christmas market. The room was very nice, modern and very clean. The front desk staff was great. He gave suggestions for dinner and directions to the market. The breakfast was good as well.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with information on local history and destinations. The hotel location was perfect for touring the "Old City".

The heat was not on in the room and was not turned on until the second day of our stay.

The mattress was bumpy, and the fold-up bed for the third person was very poor on a first night. After I made complain, they moved us to a different room on the second night which had decent beds. Since the website didn't provide a space for three person in a room. I wrote in a space if I can stay three person in a room. The hotel charged me $30 instead of $26 as published for not requesting in advance.

Location in quite quarter of Salzburg, but two minutes walk from the centre.

I have stayed in this hotel for several times during the last decade. And, sadly, see the level steadily declining. No elementary amenities, no fridge or mini-bar. But still, I recommend this hotel.

Great location - steps from the tunnel to the Old City. Great responsive, helpful staff who made excellent restaurant recommendations. Our first room at the front of the building was a bit noisy, but they quickly moved us to a quieter room at the back that was perfect. The breakfast (included) was excellent, and we had free on-site parking. I would vigorously disagree with others who complained about stolen items and security. We felt the area and the hotel were safe, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salzburg.

Location just 5 min from center is terriffic - the staff is helpful and 24h opening time with somebody to ask at any time is as good as it gets

the hotel was placed 5 minutes to the old town. the room was big and the beds were very comfortable.we had a lovely stay.

the internet did not work in the room at all. when we called the reception the receptionist asked me what do you want me to do? also the second day they cleaned the room, but they did not hoover the carpet and put soap in the bathroom,which i think should not be acceptable for a 4 star hotel.
