This 3-star hotel is centrally located and is situated right on a city park. In a few minutes you can be in the historic quarter of town and/or in the small central shopping mall in Krems.
Score from 295 reviews Good
This historic, carefully renovated hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the historic quarter of Krems. It offers free Wi-Fi access and free parking.
Score from 312 reviews Very good
Ideally located in the heart of the city of Krems at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wachau, the family-run Hotel Unter den Linden is just a short walk from many local attractions.
Score from 354 reviews Excellent
Surrounded by beautiful vineyards, this modern student residence is close to the historic quarter of Krems and the picturesque Wachau Valley.
Score from 205 reviews Very good
This hotel is rather unusual in that it is staffed only for a few hours each day. We checked in via a self-serve kiosk, which worked well. The rooms were very small, but well arranged and efficient. The room worked quite well for our 12 hour stay, as we arrived late and left early. We had no issue with the temperature in the room, but I could not find a thermostat.
The hotel is outside of the city center in a commercial/industrial area. There are few restaurants/stores in the immediate area. We ate downtown before heading to the hotel, so this was not an issue for us.
Wifi doesn't work. Automatic check-in after 20:00 which was not comfortable and easy.
Автоматическая регистрация заезда круглосуточно (большинство местных отелей селят до 22 часов). Дружелюбный персонал.
Плохая шумоизоляция. Завтрак своих денег не стоит.
Very pleasant. Pretty basic. No fuss. Good breakfast.
Helps when you have a car.
no window location
Hotel is very modern, with small but functional rooms and very good breafast buffet. Has locked facility for bicycles.
the service was very good, easy access to the keycard, when experiencing problems, the gentleman on the phone was quick to pick-up and help. the rooms were big enough and clean, breakfast also all right
the location is poor, very far from the city center, industrial zone nearby
decent breakfast free parking free WiFi
no windows fence around the entire building makes you feel like in prison
Nothing, except decent breakfast
Small room without window, with the half of ptice would be OK
The hotel and staff could not have been better a real pleasure to stay there
Convenient self service check in.
Breakfast should be extended, concludes too early.
Clean rooms, the mattress is comfortable and it is close to the bike route.
Plenty of things... The rooms are small. No windows. Only the door has a glass insert and there is only a small ventilation window above the door. The door has a roller blind, but the ventilation window does not. This is a problem, as the lights on the corridor are near the window, so there is electric light in the room all night. This is a staff free hotel, so if you arrive after 20:00, there will be nobody to help you. There is free wi-fi service, but you only can get the code from the staff, or if the staff is not there you have to call a call center, and there they will tell you the code. Why??? Why do I have to call a phone number abroad? This is extra cost. Sound isolation of the rooms is poor, and as there is no ventilation, you have to keep open the ventillation window, making the poor noise isolation more ineffective. Location is in an industrial area, there are no shops or restaurants where you can buy a meal or a beer. And the most absurd: there are automated lights in the bathroom, and if you have a longer shower, and use the shower curtain the motion sensor will not detect you, and will switch off the lights. Fortunately, you do not want to take a shower for a long time, as probably because they have electric water heater, hot water runs out of the evening. You might imagine this as a cheap deal, but if you want breakfast, it costs maximum 15-20% less than the average I have experienced in that area, during our bike trip.
room cleanness, internet
No functioning 24hrs phone service, sometimes cold shower.
Close to the Donauradweg
Let's get this straight - this is the first "negative" review I write about a hotel, and hopefully the last as well... There are so many things they've done wrong trying to be "budget-friendly" (actually, cutting the costs for themselves) - there are plenty of options out there for the same price, offering much better value. First, when I realized there is only limited check-in time and some "access code" is required to check-in outside that time, I called the hotel and after long wait a lady answered quite rudely, as if I had to know that "there is a hotline number on the check-in machine". Next, the hotel building itself is a joke, like a homework of an architecture student trying to be innovative but failing to meet basic functional requirements. Everything there was made of cheap mdf panels, which is not bad as a fact, but everything was squeaking like hell - the bed, the table and also the ceiling - under every step of our upstairs neighbours. The hotel "lobby" is actually an outdoors area, as are the hallways - don't be surprised to find pile of snow outside your room's door on a winter morning. I could go on and on with this... Also, back to the very point, the room and bathroom were not very clean. To wrap it all up, I was expecting a lot more based on the *** rating, hotel pictures and descriptions, and was very disapointed to find out it was a shed rather than a hotel.
The reception was nice.
The web site did not indicate the room would be so small. I was under the impression we would be getting a non smoking room, and it reeked with the smell of old smoke. The hotel was Full and we were unable to change. We only stayed one night, but in the morning I was VERY Ill, and vomited the next morning. We were very happy to get the hell out of there. It was like the company built the hotel with storage containers. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in my 50+ years of traveling.
Located really close to Donauradwag, but it is really distant from the town of Krems.
No staff outside the check-in hours indicated (17-20), so at night there is noone to assist you in case you need anything. When we were staying in the hotel, a group of guests came to the property at 2:30 in the morning, obviously after having overindulged on alcoholic beverages, and were behaving extremely loudly. Nevertheless, there was noone to solve this. As per inquiry to the property, they are not planning to change this. The rooms have no ventilation system, meaning you have to let the window open so that you can breathe in the room. The bed in your room creaked so loud it woke us from our sleep.
Functional room, tidy, warm Good breakfast Free WiFi
No 24h reception No hair dryer
Very friendly staff. Hotel is clean and modern. Breakfast area is very cosy and clean. Breakfast is very basic, but food is nice and fresh. Would recommend it for short stay for those who either tavel by car or by bycicle.
Location is poor. Hotel located in Industrial area, 30 min walking from City Center. Bad access to public transport. Literally, rooms do not have windows.
Cheap, clean, easy to get to with a car. A place to get a good night sleep.
You need a car to get to Krems, thats where the nicer places to eat are.
noisy and uncomfortable bed, motion sensor in toilet and bathroom (light goes off while showering), hotel looks like a cage, huge and a lot of spiders outside and unfortunately inside as well, no normal window, automatic check-in only works with cards, if you have to pay cash you need to wait for the reception opening hours
