The pension is located just 3 mins. from shopping promenade of Mariahilfer Str, and in 15 minutes walking distance from the Museums Quarter, Ringstrasse, and Maria-Teresian platz. Fresh austrian breakfast was served in small and pleasant restaurant. The place is very quiet, we almost didn't feel the presence of other guests. Our room was spacious and clean. Vienna music (Mozart, Strauss...) meets guests at the pension's entrance and accompanies their morning coffee :) We enjoyed our stay very much
If you have a problem with climbing nice amount of stairs, this place is not suitable for you...
Close to the subway and city. The mozart stephen plays is wonderful. Breakfast was superb !
Liked everything about it.
Vienna can be an expensive place to visit and Pension Kraml helps you forget that. Our room was enormous, our bed very comfortable and the included breakfasts were fantastic. Could not recommend this place enough. Also walking distance to everything you would want to see.
Good breakfast, friendly staff, decent access to city (we used bicycles). We were OK with BR and toilets down the hall - they provide bathrobes and slippers. Wifi in room. Parking available close by (fee)
Room on 3rd floor (2nd their counting), no elevators. Whole place a little dated and a bit run down, lots of things needing repairs. Minor stuff
Great location just short walk from underground and shopping mall. Clean, large rooms. Great but typical Austrian breakfast. Local grocery and bakery.
Okay for us but minimum walk up of two floors.
I liked the pension's entrance and basically all services by Kraml family people. They were polite and very helpful for any question. I definitely choose here once again when happened to visit Vienna in the future.
I'm not meant to be negative about the following but those who might like to know in advance. Some rooms don't have TVs and air conditioners. If these are important for you, then necessary to consult with Kraml people. Though I actually enjoyed staying without the facilities written above.
I stayed there 2 years ago. It is in a really good location and it gives great value for money.
They don't accept credit cards. If that costs the pension too much then they could PayPal.
Clean, big size room,
You have to follow what they want you to do. They do not like answer any questions. All the smile, polite is very fake. It seems serving guest is not what they like to do but have no choice since they own the place. Do not have heart to help new people to travel to their country. Will not tell you about their city. Wow!
The owner nicely contacted us to provide directions from the airport before our trip. It would have been nice for them to give us a map of the city, but we found one easily enough. A free, very Austrian, breakfast was served every morning. It was very good, and easily would cost 8 euros at a nearby restaurant. Free WIFI was provided in the TV room, but not accessible in the bedroom—consistent with website description. The room was exactly how it was pictured online. There was a sink, hair dryer, a desk, chairs, and 2 closets. The beds were comfortable and clean. The showers and toilets were separate (which was nice). The Pension even provided clean slippers for us to use. We never had to wait to use either the toilet or shower. They were clean, however the step up to enter the shower, without any supportive bar, would likely be difficult for some people. There was not a lot of noise, either from the street (which our room faced) or the other tenants. The Pension was a ~5 minute walk from a good metro stop, and a pleasant ~20 minute walk to the city center. It was a safe area which we comfortably walked at night. Payment is in cash, but the owner was nice and provided a receipt even before we asked for it (which at a lot of places is unusual). Note: payment times are restricted to breakfast hours (8-10am), unless another agreement is made. Although friendly and prompt, the staff was not very engaging, quite business like. Overall, it was a great place to stay in Vienna and we would definitely go back.
Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was great.
Location, cleanliness, even the shared bathroom are very clean, very good value for money.
