Completely overpriced at $80 euros a night (for 2 people), don't pay more than $40 - 50 euros. The hotel is very old and outdated. For example the bath in our room was module unit that was obviously added after the fact. Plastic, was raised off the floor (presumely to accomodate the plumbing). The tv was a 10 inch in size, when coupled with the broadcast in the 16:9 ratio, it made the screen even smaller. Like I said way over priced at $80 euros

Staff was readily to help. Breakfast was included and very good! Hotel room was not that clean... The mini bar smelled bad but we did not use it and it was ok for a short stay. I would not stay there for more than 2 nights tops. Lock door did not work properly and internet neither. Internet is hard to find in the whole city... So you might want to plan ahead.

Fairly good location in 5 mins walk from Mirabel gardens and bus station for "Hop On Hop Off" bus tours (recommending to take). Good cafe/cofe house on the corner of the building. Decent breakfast (but actually nothing worth mentioning). Overall, it is ok place to stay one night, but not a dream place. You should realize that this is a budget hotel with basic facilities. No lift that is not very convenient if you need to carry heavy luggage. We had a room facing Rainerstrasse which is a quite busy street (a little noisy). And what is a little puzzling is the interior of a room/hotel as a whole. Obviously, the owners tried to make the interior look authentic early 20th century living interior, but in reality it looks quite eclectic and not stylish.

Close to both the main train station and the old town. The room was pretty comfortable, quite large and old fashioned. The shower curtain would blow into the water, stick on your body and then spread water all over the bathroom floor and mat. The pillows were really soft, had to fold them in half. When checking out, couldn't sign when using my credit card.

Marvellous breakfast with everything from fruit to many different breads, yoghurt, variety of meats, cereal in a clean and comfortable dining area. Hotel staff were very happy to answer "tourism" questions and all in all it was a lovely place to stay. It's a simple ten minute walk to all the attractions. All in all I would recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, comfort. If you are looking for a modern state of the art hotel room this is not for you as it has old furniture and an old charm about the place which is in keeping with the sights of Salzburg Not a problem for me even though I was on the second floor, but if you have any difficulties lifting there is no lift so bear in mind you will have to carry your luggage up flights of stairs or get someone else to do so for you.
