Opened in December 2013, the Motel One Wien-Prater is right next to the Prater amusement park and just 215 yards from the Messe-Prater U-Bahn (subway) Station (line U2).
Score from 2588 reviews Excellent
The Motel One is a modern hotel in Vienna’s Westbahnhof transport hub and shopping complex, a 10-minute subway ride from the center of the city.
Score from 4773 reviews Excellent
Just a 5-minute walk from the Westbahnhof Train Station, the modern Apartmenthotel Stanys is on the Mariahilfer Straße shopping street.
Score from 479 reviews Very good
In an Art Nouveau building dating from 1896, Hotel Fürst Metternich is in a quiet side street just steps from the Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna’s main shopping street.
Score from 660 reviews Very good
Great location, with a large room. This is right on a pedestrian shopping street, but not noisy. Supermarket, underground and cafe close by. Its a nice walk into the center of Vienna. Also easy to get to from the airport (train then one underground line).
The host Vera was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and equipped with a kettle, TV and the wifi reception was excellent. Good location next to the underground station, not far from the city center.
Both the boss and the staff are so nice!
Very friendly staff. Just across the street there is a metro station just 4-5 stops from the city center. Situated on a very nice street. Although I didn't complain, I was proposed to pay a lesser price because of some works that were temporarily taking place outside of the hotel.
For me it wasnt a problem but for someone, lack of elevator could be one.
4th. floor for tired to carrying the luggage
To go up to 4-th floor
An excellent hotel !! Well located and with a metro station very close. The room exceeded my expectations ... very nice, clean and without any noise from the street !!! For sure I will return to host me. The reception was special, even though I had forgotten to send the email with the time of my arrival (which is very important). So thanks for making my stay in Vienna even more special !!!
Way too many stairs.. No elevator
What I liked best is the warm welcome by Vera and her customer care.
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The coffee machine was handy.
Kitchen facilities were basic, a microwave would have made things a little easier.
Jonas was extremely kind and helpful with tips for seeing the city, especially in the short time I was there. The room was big, immaculately clean and very comfortable. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer.
It is up 3 large flights of stairs with no lift. However once you get your bags upstairs, it iw well worth it!
The location was great. In the middle of the main shopping street. The apartment is spacious and comfort. The staff is amazing, after paying they were looking for me to return 20 euro that I over paid. We really enjoyed the apartment.
The only problem is that the apartment is located on 3rd floor without an elevator. On the other hand it helped me burn all the junk food I ate ;-)
Staff name is yunes
Apartment very old alot of nois and fourth floor no eleveator
The apartment was large, comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The location is excellent - next to the subway, shopping and restaurants, and also a walking distance from the city center. The owner provided us with a key to a parking garage which was also very convenient. A coffee machine with capsules is available all day.
The air-condition did not work properly. 3rd floor without an elevator, but you have to carry your language upstairs only once :-)
Jonas and vera were very helpfull (more then I expected) the house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, the locations is graet near to the U-ban station. Thanks Jonas for your help :) Lony
Good value for money, excellent location (close to subway), friendly staff
Feeling like you were living in appartment in Vienna, even homely When there was an issue, they helped me effectively
Room service was not present until I left
The service at Primavera is superb. Vera contacted us shortly after making the booking to confirm our arrival time, and offered to book us a taxi from the airport (which, as an aside, was great: we had a really nice driver who wrote down several recommendations for us). On arrival, we were greeted by Jonas, who was excellent - very friendly and helpful, taking the time to show us around the room, recommend restaurants and then sit us down with a map and highlight where we wanted to go/advise on popular Vienna attractions. He even helped with a food allergy translation into German (and Czech)! Such a friendly and attentive welcome is rare, and makes all the difference when arriving in a new city/country. Credit to Jonas that we immediately felt at home at Primavera and in Vienna. Note that the staff aren't always on site, but are only a phonecall away if you need anything (we didn't). Ideal location on Mariahilferstrasse, which is packed full of high street shops (great if you forget to pack anything). Felt very safe. A little noisy in the evenings if you have the windows open (to be expected with a central location), but definitely not a big issue. Very close to a metro station and a small Spar supermarket. The hotel is on the third floor I believe, and there's no lift, so a good few steps to climb if you're carting suitcases or have mobility issues. We didn't have a problem with backpacks - good opportunity to get in a little exercise! Facilities-wise, there's free wifi that worked very well and a shared fridge and coffee machine in the hallway. The room was lovely; perfectly clean and the most spacious hotel room I've encountered in a long time, accentuated by a wonderful high ceiling and large windows that filled the room with light in the daytime, but are blacked out when the curtains closed. Decor nice and simple. Great amount of storage space, a sofa, table and chairs, a hairdryer and kettle available for use.
Everything was superb.
The manager, Frau Vera is very friendly. The room was really big and lovely decorated, besides of clean and comfortable. We feel at home. The location could not have been better, just some footsteps from a metro station and surrounded for several stores. I really recommend you stay there, in your travel to Vienna.
There is no elevator, and it is located in the third floor. It was a bit difficult for mom, who is already 65 years old.
HUGE and beautiful room, good bed, helpful staff on arrival, good location.
Most of the time the staff is not present at the hotel. They come at specific times when they expect their presence is needed. There is a phone number you can call if you need them at other times. When I was checking out I did not reach anyone at that number at first. I needed to talk to them to figure out the modalities of luggage storage. When finally a connection was established, they told me to simply leave the luggage locked in the room. Later, to free the room for the next guest, they moved my things to a storage space which was not very safe due to the fact that they were not present. Ultimately, their way of running the hotel from afar could probably work well, but they need to find a way to ensure reachability by phone, and they need give guests clearer instructions about this. Also the addition of a door lock to the luggage storage room would probably be a good idea. Nonetheless my stay was great overall.
Very homey atmosphere! Clean bathroom, silence, comfortable bed. Located on the shopping street with lots of cafes, in walking distance from centre. Buses, subway-everything is nearby. The owners are very kind people who were ready to help with advice how to spend time and where to go. Definitely come stay here again!
The aircon is not free but you might need it only during hot summer.
The hotel was fantastic and the room was very big compared to those on the rest of the trip. The room even included an actual table to eat at which really made a difference. The family who owns the property was extremely helpful and gave us tips and information about the city. Thank you so much!
The one thing that really hindered our experience was actually out of the control of the hotel. The city was doing construction on the street below and that woke us up in the morning around 6am pretty consistently. There is also no elevator and it is about 4 flights of stairs with all of your luggage. Overall it was a wonderful experience!
The former K&T Boarding House which we booked in January 2014 changed ownership without notifying us and is now Pension Primavera. Beware the new absentee owners who apparently only visit the property to collect money at check-in and are not responsive when called or emailed. The only other guest had similar problems contacting the owners by phone and agreed it would be his last visit. When I asked Booking.com to intervene, the owners eventually offered a number of excuses for the "misunderstandings" and a partial refund ... but then refused to sent it. Given our experience, and that of the other guest, you may want to wait till the end of your visit to pay in order ensure they appear occasionally.
