* Absolutely the best location! Right in the center but still located in a quiet street. Perfect. * The staff was very friendly & helpful. We were offered both early entrance & late exit, just because they could offer that, & we also got excellent tips about the area. Charming people. * The superior room was comfortable & warm. Despite the disadvantages, if the price is right we would definitely recommend this place!
* The hot water ran out after 5 minutes of shower use- EVERY SINGLE TIME! We called the office & all we got (from the night-manager) was "wait 30 minutes & the water will return". Which it did, but only for another 5 minutes. Really annoying. When we checked out we told the owner, who was very surprised (apparently they didn't know?), apologized, & promised to have it fixed (but of course it was too late for us). * 2 single blankets instead of one double- why? * Some noise from the surrounding rooms, nothing horrible though. * Pretty bad WiFi, especially since we were on the 1st floor.
Right next to the opera house Very nice room
Located just across the opera, and just at the start of Kartner pedestrian mall , leadign to the central area. Just 100 meter from public transport. Freidnly staff , and nice breakfast
I would not call it "didn;t like" - but one should be aware that: 1. No airconditioning in the rooms. The rooms are spread among several appartments in a residential building. Not your typical hotel setup. Still great value and great place.
Great location Veryery friendly staff
The staff very helpful. Location very central but quiet. I have no negative things to say

Helpful stuff. 100m from the old town. Near the subway and easy to get to and from the airport. Clean room. Very good breakfast with fare price.
You need to carry the suitcase up 5 stairs to get to the elevator, and again to get to the second building. Ok if you have no back problems.
Loved Pension Suzanne - really lived up to the reviews. Very friendly and accommodating staff - allowed me to check in early. Greeted me personally. Comfortable bed - nice classical décor in keeping with Vienna.
Would have liked a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities but maybe this is not the norm in Austria.
proximity to opera (we went there for the night we stayed) and a restaurant Plashutta we wanted to do (did not go, but it was just across a street). Relatively spacious room for three of us. Bath room has a bath tub, and clean. Overall very good hotel in a center of city we love.
This is not a hotel - pension - in a normal building, so do not expect too much, particularly from outside. The check-in much be done before 10:00PM. The street the hotel is facing could be noisy, as this place is locating on 2nd floor... Our case was OK.
The location is incredible, the staff (I met three) were all so friendly and helpful and the wifi worked very well. Single room was lovely, the bed was a king single- I cannot express how comfortable it was. I was thrilled to see a lift too.
Nothing to dislike, I was genuinely impressed.
Very kind Staff. Very polite
Shabby dated interior
Location is terrific. Breakfast was generous, with a selection of items to suit any taste.
I had booked a queen bed on booking.com but when I arrived, the room had two twin beds at opposite corners of the room. It didn't really matter but I was expecting a large bed. The decor was pretty-ish with wallpaper and sconce lighting and the dining room was beautiful . The lobby (if you can call it that) was a run down office building style. There were no real directions but I figured out how to take the lift to my room which was in a shared corridor. That would not have mattered decor around 6:30 am , their tv was blasting . To be fair, after I pounded on the wall and knocked on their door, they. Immediately turned the tv down or off and even left a sweet apology note. I don't / didn't Blane them but this is the sort of thing one warns to j is. Moreover , remember that elegant dining room of which I dipole? Well, it was a total waste as the " breakfast" had undrinkable coffee , cold bread, hard and/ or soft boiled eggs and maybe a piece of cheese or two. Basically, it was I edible as well as un potable. All that said, the staff was sort of nice and the location was amazing! Try it but steer clear of pissing away money on the "breakfast" is my suggestion !
Breakfast Coffee "Lobby"
Location! Cant beat that.
Excruciatingly slow wifi. The rooms are functional though worn and in need of upgrade.
Great location,very nice staff
Great location Fan in room Nice bathroom Friendly staff Bike storage (locked indoors) Comfortable & Clean room
Excellent location in the City Center just a half block away from the State Opera Building, the subway (3 lines connect there), and the Ringstrasse trams. Found the recommendation in a Rick Steves Vienna Tour Book and he was spot on. The staff is kind, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modest, yet I had a large bathroom. Breakfast service was friendly and it was basic European continental breakfast type offerings.
Basically everything. The managers can give you advice on absolutely anything to do.
I didn't have enough time to explore the rest of the city.
Excellent staff, kind and efficient. Good breakfast, albeit expensive. Clean and practical.
There are thick rugs everywhere and no air-conditioned, which makes it extremely hot in Summer and is bad for someone allergic to acara.
The central location is indisputably excellent, and Pension Suzanne appears to have tried to make the best out of a less than ideal building layout and floor plan. Certainly the accommodation meets the basic needs of the average traveler / tourist (although I would not select this pension if I were traveling on business). Efforts have been made to ensure that toilets have been renovated, rooms equipped with flat screen TVs, and that guests feel welcomed. Although the place won't disappoint (depending on your expectations), I did not leave with a sense of deep delight, great satisfaction, or that I had found a hidden treasure amongst Vienna's vast choice of accommodations. There is no specific criticism or complaint I would direct towards the establishment or its personnel, and for a few nights' stay it serves the purpose well enough.
I was left feeling that the location is what drives the largely favorable ratings of this pension, which is odd, since Vienna is not that large of a city, the public transportation is excellent, and one can book a room in one of many hotels (if you book early enough) that offer a higher degree of comfort and amenities for the same price or even lower and are still in a good location. The post-war structure is primarily a residential building, with the pension located on the first two floors. As you proceed through the building entrance and walk up the stairs that lead to the reception located in a side room on the first floor, you may wonder whether you have made a wise selection. Don't let your first impressions put you off; the pension is better than the initial impression it creates. Your second impression may be that despite efforts to stay up with the times and meet the ever changing expectations of global travelers, Pension Suzanne is stuck in a pseudo Hapsburg Empire ambience, replete with red carpets (some of which clearly need replacing) and heavy drapes, replica period furnishings and gold trim and carvings. You are reminded that life in the "good old days" wasn't necessarily all that comfortable. If you want trendy and modern, you should go somewhere else. My room was small with no desk to write at and a bed that was of a lower comfort standard compared to what I experience elsewhere. The breakfast (for an additional charge) is an average continental breakfast; like the pension, it is adequate and sufficient, and neither particularly disappoints nor delights. There is no sense of "center" to the pension, no lounge area, or place to convene (other than the breakfast room). If you only need a place to sleep at night and eat breakfast in the morning, then Suzanne will work fine. If you want more space or comfort, you should consider other alternatives.
Location. Near everything.
A bit shabby. Overpriced. I guess one pays for the location.
