The room was very small and not clean - dusty and with bugs!!! A lot of bugs. The bed was just small for a couple and the claimed "luggage room" is just a corridor where they put bags and everyone passes by them. It is kind of central but the area is not very friendly at night. The recepcionist asked to pay the fees in advance and we didn't get a receipt!! Just don't go there... It's not good value for money!

The reviews did not explain which bus/tram to take to get there very well. but once we arrived by cab, the return was easier. Many train/tram options lose by. Plenty of options for nearby cafes, restaurants and grocery. The hotel was different...a pension so the set up was new to us but ht e rooms were super clean and big. We had a triple. Breakfast was nice for a basic continental including hard boiled eggs, cucumber, tomatoes and amazing rolls and breads. I had read that the staff was not friendly but I did find them helpful.

The room was peaceful and convenient cool while the weather during the visit was hot. Location was excellent for my visit. Breakfast should be served earlier, at 7:00 would be fine.

Very nice people, they cooked breakfast for us at 12! Friendly, helpful, simple but clean rooms, proper showers. No luxury, but all you need! The place also had a real family feel to it. One of our rooms had a strange smell (maybe something in the bathroom was broken) and they just gave us another room without any discussion.

Location was perfect, nice to have breakfast, room was simple but exactly what I needed. I was half expecting a sketchy place based on other people's comments, but I found it perfectly adequate and nicely refurbished for being in an older building. Even as a female traveling alone, I felt comfortable & safe. Internet in my room was reliable - important to me since I had work to do. Very close to bus, tram - 10 meters. And close enough to metro - 5 to 10 min walk. My room was nicely cleaned every day. Sweet staff, maybe a bit quiet/shy. Close to the university and city center. Breakfast needs to be earlier - not 8am - I was only able to eat 1 of the 3 mornings. Walls/doors carry sound, I used earplugs to avoid hearing everyone's conversations. Directions to the hostel are inadequate. I walked up and down several streets before finding the right one (the street name changes-- "Universitatsstrasse" becomes "Alserstrasse"!)

Close to city. The breakfasts were served too late (officially from 8 o'clock on). As I had activities that started at 8.30 on the other side of city, I couldn't have normal breakfasts. Beside this the breakfasts were too monotony, I missed more fresh pastries (like croissants).

The room is clean and good for the price. Breakfast is nicely presented and everything was of a good standard. Austrians aren't the most open people in the world, so considering this, all the staff were very friendly, and seemed to understand many languages. You can have a good nights sleep without worrying that somebody is going to steal your possessions. Ok, it's time to turn on the heating, or give extra blankets. It wasn't that cold, but I would want to know that the heating is on before staying in the middle of winter.

A convenient location (4 blocks away from University of Vienna and in a walking distance from the city center). Nice breakfast. A personal set of keys, so I could easily come back to my room any time, even after the midnight. A personal safe in the room. Most of the employees don't speak English (but most of them seem to understand it). WiFi sometimes didn't work on the ground floor. The plastic card terminal could not connect at the moment of my payment (that was on Saturday morning), so I had to pay cash.

The hotel is easily accessed by metro and tram - tram stop in front of the hotel across the street. In my room TV did not work, but I did not want to use is anyway. Wifi connection worked only occasionally and signal strength was low. Otherwise, it was OK. I would recommend it for a short visit to Vienna.

It was at a very good location, close to the city, it was very convenient. Lots of stores around. The Internet was very slow and the computer, too, so I couldn’t use it. The breakfast was basic, Vienna is famous for its pastry, but it wasn’t available for breakfast at all.

There are two reasons to stay at Pension Vera: the location and the comfort. The pension is located in the center, in the nearby of the Votive Cathedral and the parkings are in the same area. Also in front of the pension there passes the tram way and in the nearby of the pension is the subway as well. Concerning the comfort there are large rooms with restored and clean bathrooms.

* It's close to the city centre - within walking distance. So if someone just wants to see the centre there is no need to buy a day ticket for the metro/bus/tram. * The rooms are quiet. Though, sometimes you can hear the water/shower from the neighbour. * Breakfast is a buffett - good for those who like all you can eat :-) * The pc they have for guests is too slow. It doesn't look that old but probably needs a re-install or some HD-cleaning.
