the proximity to the city, the nice romantic historic flair of the room design, the excellent breakfast buffet

Fantastic hotel - rather old-fashioned but this comes across more charming than out-dated. The room size (I stayed in a triple room with two other people) was more than sufficient, with a decent-sized bathroom. Very very friendly and helpful staff who always appeared outwardly professional and had a smile. Location-wise this place is right in the centre and near to plenty of tram and U-Bahn stops. There are lots of cafés dead opposite so breakfast/lunch is not a problem.

The hot water takes its time to heat up, but this really is the only negative and the benefits of the hotel far outweigh the negatives.

For EUR12, breakfast is a bit expensive. This price can support breakfast for 2 person at local restaurant

I was very satisfied with friendly and helpful personal with very good brekfast. Pension is nice, quiet place very close to Altes AKH, place where I spend a few days. Also, it is not far away from center of the city.

I liked the fact that hotel staff were very helpful and polite.

I didn't particularly like what I got for breakfast for the money I paid. I would have liked the option of fryed eggs. It was a decent enough buffet thou.

There was no shampoo at the shower cabin. There was only one TV channel in English which was only CNN. I would be happy if there was at least one or two movie channels in English.

The walls are very thin and you can easily hear your neighbors conversation. Also, all the rooms face the street, and there is also noise from the cars and trams.

Nice room with everything you need. Lots of trams and the Rathaus (Town Hall) metro stop right nearby. A little busy when I was there and there was only one lady working at reception, but was quick and professional

The staff was warm and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained.

The walls between rooms are quite thin and sound travels easily between them.

Good value for money in Vienna. Location is great. Very close to the town hall (with christmas market) and the university campus with a good few restaurants and pubs around. City Center can be reached on foot, but tram and U-Bahn are very close by. Breakfast was really nice (continental breakfast). Staff was lovely and helpful. Room itself was spacious.

Room was sometimes quite loud, we thought the cleaner was hoovering in our room at 8am when she was cleaning the room next door. Rooms got cleaned every day, but very superficially. Bathroom was tiny, hardly space to move.

The staff - all the staff went the extra mile no matter what the question.

The staff was extremely helpful and organized, they had print-outs of "how to get there" routes for all touristic points of Vienna, making commuting with the public transport very easy. Location is great, 2 tram stops from Rathaus, and there's loads of good value restaurants around to try the local cuisine, ask the staff, they'll give you great suggestions. Extra soft pillows and bed spreads made our stay very comfortable. Big room, for 3 people it was great. Very pleased, highly recommend it.

I don't know if it's the case for all rooms, but mine was modern and renovated, very nice, big shower! Very calm.

In Austria they put two single blanket on a double bed, a double one would be nicer.
