Score from 930 reviews Very good
Hotel Pension Andreas is a traditional bed and breakfast in a quiet and very central location right behind the town hall, in Vienna’s 8th district.
Score from 473 reviews Good
Only a 10-minute walk from the Opera and the lively Naschmarkt Quarter, this hotel occupies a historic 18th-century building. It offers a free internet station and a rich buffet breakfast.
Score from 1956 reviews Very good
Location cannot be better, it was a walking distance from all our destinations. Room was just the right size for three people. I would definitely stay there next time.
The shower wasn't perfect. One had to run water for about 10 minutes to make hot water come out of the shower.
Breakfast can be improved Noisy youngsters
Location and friendly reception. Lack of fuss
Amazing staff here and nice location to easily walk or Grab transit to the inner city and lots of sights, restaurant etc. Wi-Fi connection was excellent. Travelled with my little dog and equally comfortable and excellent with him in tow.
This place is not quiet! It didn't bother me so much and I enjoy the charm of an old building but expect to hear everything in every room around you. I also had a single room and the large window was directly on another rooms terrace, not instilling the most confidence of safety but I kept my window shut, one day the cleaners left it open which would make it easy for others to come in (and vice versa) though.
A very good stuff!!!! Thank you very much!!!!
The staff was very friendly, the room is comfortable; the location is not in the city centre itself, but it is close enough and the public transport nearby is excellent.
1. The door to the bathroom has a strange construction so that it cannot be fully shut, which is a bit inconvenient if one uses the toilet. 2. There were teabags, cups and the samovar at the entrance giving an impression that one could easily use them. It turned out that there was not water in the samovar, and one had to go down to the kitchen to get the water; a bit disappointing
Rooms Staff Location
The staff at reception - Ina, Denise and Khaleda - were excellent and very helpful.
location nice rooms
really noisy in the morning even though it was a weekend
Clean and quiet as well as WiFi!
Everything was perfect. We like the lift :)
bed too soft
Cool place. Out of buisy streets. Quiet and clean
No air condition
The rooms are nice and clean. The location is good, you can take public transportation to the centre just across the street. Nice staff. Internet's great.
the room had no air conditioning, so it was very hot at night, sometimes we had trouble sleeping with so much heat.
This was our third stay a the Baronesse in eight years; has a comfortable old world ambiance and is centrally located.
No English-language stations on the TV.
This is a great, inviting place. You get the feeling that you are lodging in a traditional Vienna mansion and not just a hotel. The location could not be better; far from the tourist crowds yet within comfortable walking distance from practically everything. All members of the staff are friendly and helpful, particularly, but not exclusively Ina. They make you feel at home and never seem to mind how bothersome you (in this case I) can be with your many questions and requests. Breakfast is spectacular. One last thing that deserves mentioning is that unforgettable elevator that ought to be in pictures. I plan to return.
It is not really that I did not like it, but since it seems that I have to write something here I'll say that some people would probably want a more expansive bathroom. It did not bother me much.
Personal is kind and if you have a question about Wien they take time to explain you. There is tea for free in the reception.
location friendly staff
no aircondition just one key to get into hotel area is not enough for family
Very friendly staff, really helpful for tourists to guide them on main attractions, public transports and restaurants
Hotel is old so the rooms are bit worn out especially the windows, etc. but that is not much of a problem.
- price/quality - location - friendliness of staff
- even though I was in the "newer" rooms, furniture had visible stains. - no airco
Very friendly staff Good location
One of our group (8 persons) miss his flight but they charged us the room full rate....
Open window to the street
No ice, bed uncomfortable, poor quality TV.
The feeling of being in a real Vienna Mansion, not just a hotel. The confortable beds and pillows..the excellent location, far away from the tourist crowds and yet close enough to everything you want to visit in Vienna. The fantastic breakfast. The quality for the very reasonable cost. The very helpful, accomodating and always cheerful staff, particularly Ina; and that unforgettable elevator which should be in movies.
If I had to mention something that I did not like I would say that a larger better lighted bathroom would be helpful, however, this is a very minor thing and it did not bother me at all . It is well compensated for by all the advantages of this lovely place.
first of all location is perfect old-style building interesting itself big rooms good breakfast staff is very hospitable
noise insulation is poor betwen rooms, like all living together hot water supply have some interruption
