Pension Berghof

The Berghof in Gerlos is a low-priced and cosy inn, family-run for over 40 years.

Our rooms are all simply and functionally furnished, with cable TV, running water and balcony: There are shared toilets, showers and bathrooms. The Berghof is right in the centre of village, featuring a large parking lot, a garden with sunbathing area, a ping-pong table, a barbecue, a bar and much more. In winter the ski bus stop is right in front of the building. Over 200 km of great slopes and tasty mulled wine are waiting for you, with a snow guarantee from December to April.

Our “Alpenfun” programme in summer (guided hikes and mountain bike tours, Nordic walking, children’s activities, etc.) is free for our guests.

Hotel information

We have a big parking in front of the house and also offer a garage for motorcicles or bikes to store overnight. You can play some games or just enjoy a drink in our guestroom and housebar at any time.

Food & beverage

In the summermonths we are open from mid June to begin October and you can choose between breakfast only or halfboard (on request).
In the wintermonths we are open from begin December to mid April and we spoil you with a nice breakfast buffet.

You are more than welcome to spend some time in our little bar where we serve you cold and warm drinks and little snacks.

Area information

Summer:Hundreds of hiking kilometres in the 5 side valleys of Gerlos and great adventure on the local lake turn Gerlos into a summer highlight in the Tyrolean area.
In the summer guests of our pension can participate for free on a weekly programme with guided mountainbike, hiking and nordic walking tours, childrens programme etc.
Part of other great activities are:
Up on the lake "Durlaßboden" - sailing, windsurfing, rowing, swimming, fishing, friendly beach area with childrens playground and bbq, relax on different terraces, hike around the lake. Rafting on the local river, canyoning, horse back riding in western style, paragliding, excursions to Salzburg,Innsbruck, glaciers and national parks etc. Enjoy our festivals and local traditions like sheepshearing and cow return in the fall; Tyrolean evenings or concerts of the local musicians etc.

Winter activities:
Gerlos is part of the Zillertal Arena and has not only perfect and great variety of skiing areas to offer, also our Après Ski is attracting more people the last years. 160 kilometres of pistes, 55 lifts and cable cars, 200 snowcanons, downhill runs, 25km winter hiking trails, 12km cross country skiing, skating, toboganing, horse back riding, free skibus stops in front of the house, paragliding, 3 ski and snowboard schools, tennis and squash courts etc....

By car:

Highway A12 direction Innsbruck – take exit Zillertal, follow street B169 direction Zillertal until Zell am Ziller, and follow street up the mountain to Gerlos (18km) or via Achensee or leave the highway at Kiefersfelden and come via Wörgl, Rattenberg, Brixlegg into Zillertal (without highway tax/sticker)
You can also come via Kufstein – Kitzbühel – Paß Thurn – Mittersill to Gerlos

Bus: Mayrhofen – Zell am Ziller – Gerlos – Königsleiten –Krimml

By train: By train to Jenbach/Tirol;
go on with Zillertalbahn (little steam train) or bus to Zell am Ziller and from there with bus to Gerlos
