There is nothing to like about this place.

This is not a 4-star hotel. There is no way they should have more than 2-stars. It is an ordinary backpacker pension. Dirty and almost everything was really low standard. Very bad breakfast. Will never stay here again.

A very nice and quite place near city center. Free Wi-Fi in numbers.

Expensive food in an included bar, some problems with house keeping.

Good location; affordable price; breakfast is good, although not a large assortment; the public transport in Viena is excellent, so the traveling to the city center is very fast and comfortable. There is Internet on two computers in the loby of the hotel, but is fast and free.

Staff is very reserved and silent, but one of the receptionist was honestly angry and unkind during our whole stay in the hotel. Toilet ran and the bathroom floor was wet all the time.

Very friendly staff. Conveniently located on tram line, close to underground and walking distance (15 -20 minutes) to museums, parliament and city centre.

Wifi was strong in the lobby and dining room but weak in some of the rooms.

Do not be fooled by the four stars. Plug fixings hanging loose from the walls and blood on the curtains do not a four star hotel make.

Major advantage of following hotel is its location, in terms of distance to the city center.

Rooms are next to the very noisy street (Alser strasse),therefore it may result with lack of sleep. Someone who is seeking the rest after long day, probably should seek for another option.

Great location, good staffs

The location is close to the Rathaus and other central attractions (15 minutes walk). Breakfast was good enough for its money.

No free WiFi. Bathroom was very old, requiring some improvements.

The hotel was in a good position to get to the city,only two tram stops from the Schottentor Universitat,this is on tram routes 43 & 44.The room I stayed was clean ,bed was comfortable,and the breakfast was fine as it was a continental breakfast.

The only problem is finding the Pension Excellence when you get off the tram,it took me 20 mins.to find it plus asking other people where it is.All it says is apartments in Alstrabe and the number to were it is,is on the wall at the corner of Langasse and Alstrabe.The entrance is into some apartments via a glass metal door and the reception is on the second floor which can be taken by liftor the stairs. As for trams which I like is on a junction which crosses just outside the window till about midnight- 1 am in the morning then about 5-30 am they start again,plus traffic.

The location is great. Only a short 10-15 minute stroll to St.Stephens Cathedral. Close to tram stops, cafes and restaurants and a wide range of shopping facitilies. Staff gave prompt and great information for public transport facitities e.g Upon my request let me know by email exactly how to locate the hotel from the airport using bus and tram. Free access to the internet and two computers supplied in the foyer for guests use.

The total lack of maintainance; including old towels, broken and stained fixtures, cracking and pealing paint on window frames. Would have liked to have coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

The breakfast offer might be improved. Some renovation would make difference. Dodgy smell in the room.
