Location Breakfast Not good for family
- Location - tram stop outside or 20 minute walk to town and just along from the Votive Church.
- No air-con - big issue as it was so hot - Kept windows open but no air flow - Construction would start at 6am - Breakfast was standard but not much choice especially with dietary requirements - Had to change pillows twice as the first two needed throwing away - Layout of bathroom was not great with no space for the toilet and right next to shower opening - 49Euro per night was not worth it
Location Rooms are comfortable in general. Good breakfast. Convenient price.
Very noisy No air conditioning or fans, very hot in the summer. Refrigerator did not work
Nice rooms, good lobby bar
Laundry is expensive
wonderful location, near city center and schottentor metro station. Good services Very good price
The room was hot, had to sleep with the window completely open. In less hot periods this problem won't be.
location could not be better good value for money building with charme
street is noisy, try to get a quiet room some elements in the bathroom were a bit shaky
clean room and location
Cheap hotel, Clean rooms, Good location.
Very bad WiFi signal, No AC in the room !!! Also, this pension is far from being 4 stars.
The location is great and the hotel is clean. the staff was polite and helpful, i was late for check out and they were really understanding and nice. wifi is fine and there are 2 comp in hall. i have many dislikes to point to, but in fact, under same circumstances (one night, nice weather, fair price), I would stay there again
the place needs a major renovation, ASAP, the toilet was rusty, the towels are shabby. ask for one more pillow per person because what thay give you, thats not a pillow. the breakfast - no eggs, just one type of cheese so its worth your Money just if you make some sendwiches "to go" (secretly), like I did :D . and the rooms dont have any ventilation, so in summer that could really be a problem.
everything. Breakfast was pothetic.
Close to public transportation and to the city center
Noisy room, poor breakfast, difficult wifi access
Proximity to the center
Attitude of staff (when booking we asked for a quiet room and got one facing crossing of 2 tram lines, and when we checked out after first night, very rude staff Maria tried to make us pay for all 3 booked days), very noisy location, small and basic room and breakfast
Facing extremely loud street with street construction work going on every night from 10pm to 4am, combined with heat and lack of air conditioning making it impossible to get any sleep.
There was wifi and most of the staff were helpful
Constant noise due to the trams.one of the blonde receptionist was rude, unprofessional and frankly hates her job.
Very good situation. But the entrance is not easy to find.
Breakfast is not worthy and you cannot drink 2 hot drinks.
The hotel is near to the center, that was very convenient to walk around Vienna.
It was quite noisy at nights because of trams, my brother even had to use ear plugs as he could not sleep. One of the receptionists, her name is Susanna, was quite rude, it was unpleasant to communicate with her as she showed her very negative attitude to my family, we could not understand why, maybe because we are from Russia, as we did not see that she treated badly customers from other countries. The room with one big bed is actually the room with 2 beds put together, and they always were a little separated. WiFi sometimes just would not work for sometime. Besides, small rooms, very simple breakfast, the fact that in rooms there were no shampoos or other stuff. The hotel is definitely not 4 stars.
Very friendly staff
Very good quality-price and location.
Little noisy. Wi-fi connection in the room not very good.
Absolutely everything was very poor about the Excellence. It's advertized as 4star but we wouldn't give it even 2stars The owner was grumpy, the room was dull, the walls were dirty, and most of all the street noise for the 24hours we were there was unbearable as there was no double glazing windows and what was there were filthy and useless. The owner said we didn't ask for a quiet room when we checked out early. We didn't wait for breakfast and left at 7o'clock in the morning to look for somewhere else to stay as we spent the night trying to sleep in the small bathroom away from the noise which was impossible to do. She should have compensated us for staying there for the night. We paid 95euro for the night before we left which we have the receipt for. However we did find a beautiful Hotel called The Zipser where the staff were so friendly, spotless clean Hotel, breakfast was beautiful and everything about The Zipser was wonderful. We would not recommend the Excellence to anyone. We stayed there 10years ago in a courtyard room which we requested but it has gone downhill drastically since then--unloved and uncared for, delapidated and it shows.
I arrived late, and it was slightly confusing that Pension Excellence wasn't clearly advertised at street level (it says "apartments"). But once I got in it was all easy as pie.
20 min walk distance from center, fast and free Wi-Fi, excellent value for money
Street train is loud
The location and access to public transport was excellent. Restaurants in the area were very good.
In my first room the safe was broken and the toilet did not work. On being given another room I moved. During the move from one room to another my perfume was stolen. The new room had a crack in the wall with mould growing out of it.
Excellent location near to bus and metro stations Good breakfast
Very noisy all day , may be courtveiw rooms are better
Everything outside the hotel
