Location, location, location! Value for money
It is not a 4 star hotel, but for this price is great:) Breakfast is just OK.
The best thing about this hotel is its central location. 1 minute to Graben, 8 minutes to the Wiener Staatsoper. Breakfast selection was also good. Staff tried to be helpful but despite OK bathroom facilities this property is old and tired.
The physical structure of this property looks more like a D grade guest house. Rooms are in a rabbit warren on various floors, with access from an exterior open air wobbly walkway, some parts of which are glassed in, other not. It looks shoddy, mean and in need of major renovation. The only thing modern here is the lift, but this is located outside the building proper in the courtyard. An older welcome mat had 'Pertschy Pension' written on it which is much closer to the truth. It is a total deception to rate this property as 4 stars.
Very central location, so close to main attractions and metro. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel . We were given a huge room... Really felt like staying in an old palace . Modern bathroom , comfortable bed and excellent breakfast . There is also free tea and coffee available in the reception area , which is very nice.
- location - old, nice Vienna climate - excllent food
Very nice hotel. The location is excellent - 3 min to the Royal Palace, 1 min to the Graben str., 5 min to St. Stephan. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and cozy.
Location is excelent specially for families with small children.
1. The breakfast room is a litttle small when more than 5 persons are talking food. 2. I requested a large capacity taxi the day of my departure to the front desk and they order a smaller cab which was sorted inmediately by the Manager on duty, it was not a major issue but cost me 20€ more, so make sure you request for taxi is undertood.
The location, the breakfast and the old-fashioned style of this historic building.
Excellent location for walking to main attractions. Nice, spacious room with very comfortable seating for four people.
Surprised by the short, outside walk to the room. You are dressed for the outside weather so not a problem.
The receptionists were fabulous and went out of their way to assist.
The beds were horrible. They were too soft and full of knobs.
Staying at a hotel that was once a palace was something else. This hotel has so much history with great character. The Staff were so helpful and polite. The rooms were big and really comfortable and the beds were gorgeous. (we had a triple room). The hotel is very central to most sights, just turn right out of the hotel and you're in the centre where there are numerous shops and restaurants and the cathedral is right in the middle of it all. Amazing hotel and amazing city.
Nothing to add.
Very large comfortable room
Quite a ways from the parking garage which was difficult for us to find, especially since it was not the same name on the description as it said on the street. Unable to access the hotel to load and unload luggage.
Excellent location and full of old charm. Friendly family atmosphere.
Stayed in a family room. Toilet separate from bathroom but without hand basin.
Excellent Brekfast Amaising position Coffee machine in the lobby - for free. Good idea - Congrats.
Furniture, TV and bathroom are not for 4 star rating! Maximum for 3.
1-perfect location 2-friendly service
1- beds and pillows were uncomfortable. 2-in room 223, where we lived in the shower had no hot water due to a broken faucet. 3-Tomorrow my insistence me and my wife suggested to change the number 212. It is - a great inconvenience and it is the fault of the hotel owner. 4-In room 212 there is no ventilation. Stuffy and very hot. No air conditioning. Very uncomfortable. All the time necessary to open the window. But do not sleep well in the cold winter! 5-Room 212 is broken automatic door closers, he uprooted and nobody repairs. Very ugly and not aesthetically pleasing!
City centre location, adjacent to shopping area, Hofburg Palace complex and transport links. Breakfast was first class with plenty of choice. The old world atmosphere of the hotel, although a repaint would not go amiss.
No tea/coffee facilities in the bedrooms, although it was available free from the machine in Reception
Helpful staff rooms very nice also they had drinks machine in reception for free. Very good location.
extremely central but very quiet and a stroll away from several major must see places in Vienna. Good wifi
Lovely room, very quiet overlooking the courtyard.
No lounge area apart from a couple of sofas in reception. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.
