Pension Dr. Geissler enjoys a central location in a side street of Vienna’s city center. It offers traditionally furnished rooms with a private bathroom and cable TV.
Score from 833 reviews Good
Over 400 years old, the elegant Hotel Stefanie is the oldest hotel in Vienna. It has free Wi-Fi access and a breakfast buffet. The Schwedenplatz metro station is 320 yards away.
Score from 1665 reviews Excellent

Cleanliness and friendliness.
Tho the purpose of my stay was to visit the sites in Vienna, there was nothing at the hotel but the room during leisure time after returning from a day's excursion. For example, a lounge, a coffee shop, game room, exercise facilities, a better restaurant.
Friendly staff, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast, great value for money
Evacuating the hotel at 6:15am when the fire alarm went off!!
Rooms were fairly big and clean. Best part was the location . close tothe metro, trams , opera and Stephanplatz. We enjoyed walking around trying different restaurants and giftshops . breakfast was very good too
Beds were very uncomfortable. Because of the heavy metal keys , very disturbing to hear people are coming or going using their keys. It echoes in the whole building . And I am agree , furniture needs to be updated. I expected better looking room considering the money we paid. After comparing apartments we've rented 6 days in Budapest and 5 days in Prague we find this one overpriced . but we were too tired to look for another one.
Location Friendly Free bottle of water Breakfast was ok
I liked breakfast, the room was ok. With sink and hairdryer on the wall.
central location, good breakfast and early breakfast! liked that it has a little bit of what I call old world charm not the sterile feel of a Hilton!
not really any serious negatives! my only serious complaint was that wifi was not that great! most of the time the mail server did not work!
location, good value for money
furniture a bit outdated
Excellent location; just 1 street behind the 5 star hotels and the main boulevard.
Nice location and helpful staffs
No bathroom in single room
Central location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
knew it'd be shared bathroom, toilette was near by but shower was at opposite end of the floor
Great location! Very clean and friendly staff.
Really old hotel with old simple furniture. Not very clean.
The only thing is good about the hotel is it's location. But room was awful for this price.
The hotel is in a great location for the low price (ofc during the low-peak season you can find better deals, in addition I book the hotel couple of hours before arrival, so i didn't have time to surf around internet) The hotel is big, the breakfast is good. The showers and toilets are clean. The room is tidy. Elevators for the comfort. Good attitude from receptionists, I felt their trust when they didn't push me to pay asap but upon checkout. So for my sleepover one night staying I am satisfied.
Bathroom was opposite side of my room, so I needed to walk all the way there in my towel. There are two bathrooms for the whole floor as well as two toilets only. Wifi works anywhere but the room. Checkout is 10-30 with no exception or delay
Very good location in the central zone of Vienna. Nearby Swedenplatz where are metro station, tram station and where stops the bus from and to the airport. The church Saint Stephan, the famous Kartner street and the Opera and Hofbourg palace cant be reached also by foot from the hotel.
My room was 108, a single superior room with private bathroom. the bathroom was good and clean, the room not so small, but the furniture outdated, the bed small and there was no fridge. but i disliked the most the fact that the the window looked at the very small street (some kind of wynd), and at the windows of the next building. That way you cannot see the sun and the daylight at all. and the room was very dark even during the day. you cannot sleep very well in this room because of the noise coming from the small street and especially because of the noise coming from two pipes in the room nearby the bed. at the evening and during the night there was a sound like knocking coming from these pipes.the room 108 serves only for leaving your luggage and having a shower in a private bathroom, but not for having rest at all. and in fact under the window of the room there is the entrance for the small opera house Kammer opera. i understood from the internet that the opera is located in the former ball room of the hotel and i suppose that some of the noise (a mixture from music and other not melodic sounds at all) is coming also from this opera. the building of the hotel is with impressive exterior, but the interior was not impressive at all. next time i will certainly book a room in other hotel.
Small Resturant Small lobby
location, big rooms
no bath room, poor to no wifi
Parking was close but costs 24€ per day.
We booked a double bed, but got two single beds pushed together. The beds slipped apart very easily on the wooden floor. Not ideal for couples.
Location is so nice, near Underground and right at the heart of Wien, the price is resonable!
Bathroom is too far from the room.
Breakfast was good
Washrooms too far from room
-perfectly located in the inner city centre -good value for money -good beds
-breakfast: choice & quality -parking in public car park close to hotel
The location was excellent! Right in the city center. The wi-fi was free and available in all rooms. Good speed. The pillows were really soft!
It was a bit noisy during the night. The rooms, but also other parts of the hotel (e.g. breakfast room), need a renovation since they look really old (e.g. curtains, furniture etc...). The room door was quite old and could not be locked from the inside and thus I felt a bit insecure.
late breakfast friendly people at the reception (both to chat and they were very helpful, too) good location
All the stuff they don't know smile. .
