fairly central and quiet location, about 5-10 minutes walk to get to the center and also to the subway. Staff at reception appeared competent, yet not overwhelmingly friendly.

The hotel is to be avoided during summer. It does get quite hot in summer in Vienna, and there is only the sixth floor which has air condition, all the others dont. When we checked in late in the evening into our room on the first floor, the room temperature was unbearably hot, and we were told, sorry no aircon.... but there was by chance a room on the sixth floor and were asked to pay a 40 Euro upgrade. After long discusssions and complaints the next day the upgrade fee was reduced to 10 euros. (even though the room was considerably smaller). I would recommend the hotel for short city visits during spring or fall, if you choose to go in summer, go somewhere else. For conference meetings, the surrounding infrastructure (restaurants, eateries) is not sufficiently convenient.

Good location and good price.

I arrived at 20 hrs in the evening and parked outside the hotel. Untill 22 hrs I should have gotten a parking ticket for the car ( Kurzparkzone) but the shop was closed and the reception had none available. Free parking outside is possible from 22hrs till 07 am. And we had to leave to the airport at 06:00 am.They easily could have bought some from the shop and sold it to their customers but they were not that organised. They prefer to sell their parking spots at 21.- per day. As a result I got a police fine of 21.- Euro to pay!!! That is very bad customer service! Unfortunately I forgot to settle this fine whilst in Austria. Back in Cyprus I remembered the fine and will have to pay even bank charges of around 25.- on top to settle it. To act always in the interest of the client should be utmost priority at that hotel. With the parking it does not seem that way!

Perfect location! Right in the center of Vienna, but in a quiet street. Very beautiful building, clean rooms, nice beds, free wi-fi and easy access to tram and metro.

The price was good.

The rooms were small and hot with no air conditioning. To get air, I had to open the window, which had no screen, and leave it and draperies open all night. The bed faced the open window so that anyone could look in, which was very uncomforatable. The evening concierge was unprofessional in appearance and action and did not seem to want to help me or my friend. The morning conceirge was very helpful and professional.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and found the location excellent for getting to the tube station and tram, and a short distance from most of the sight seeing. It was a nice quiet, safe location while still being central.The staff were very friendly and helpful. While the rooms are small, they are clean and comfortable. One does not spend much time in the room when sight seeing anyway. The breakfast was fantastic.

Location was great for the city centre.

Facilities were very limited.

The location to the Rathauspark was great. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Christmas Market at Rathouspark. It was also close to transportation to other areas of Vienna. Close to the University so food was priced for students. Our room was small but we requested a shower. My daughter and her husband had a corner room which was beautiful and large. This hotel was a former palace so it had some interesting features. We would stay here again.

I used to stay there frequently in the past, as the location is convenient. Cosy atmosphere, and nice buffet breakfast.

The reception staff is on always friendly.
