Wi Fi is the most expensive thinfor in the hotel
Sauna closed. Small room and small bathroom for a 4* hotel
- internet works really well - very good location - friendly and professional receptionist David
-poor house keeping -small bathroom -super thin walls -unpleasant staff at cafe bar -poor minibar
The staff was excellent: very helpful and kind, even beyond expectations (i.e. providing at the check-in all info about Christmas markets). Plus, to compensate the fact that the hotel was under renewal, they offered a couple of nice gifts. So we really felt welcome.
Close to subway station, very friendly staff.
Free Wifi would be a great improvement. Hotel is in renovation and the workers are also working on saterdays so be prepared to be woken up early be the noise.
Friendly staff, marriott level comfort in rooms and bed, underground right opposite hotel, brilliant breakfast, fantastic value for money! Hotel being renovated but you would not know from our visit. Free WiFi that worked.
At the price with breakfast and WiFi included, absolutely nothing.
The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The hotel offers also very good value for money.
There was one big problem: I had asked for a quiet room explicitly in order to rest from a tiring month, but there was a lot of noise in all of the rooms because of renovation works. The staff was very polite and they also offered us free breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience, but this does not change the basic fact that when we book a hotel the one elementary thing we expect is that we will be able to sleep calmly. This is necessary, all the rest are accessory advantages. I was told that in booking.com there was a mention of the renovation. I honestly did not see it and you cannot expect that clients go searching for the word innovation in the text of the description unless you put it in CAPITAL BOLD RED LETTERS. Also, even if I had seen it, there are renovations that affect part of the hotel and renovations that are extremely noisy on the whole of the hotel (like in our case). It is good to be straightforward and upfront on those issues because otherwise the client can be greatly disappointed despite all good efforts of the staff and the hotel. Apart from being upfront and straightforward about the issue of renovation and the extent to which it can influence a client's stay, maybe you could also consider pausing the works during the weekend when most clients arrive and with the purpose of relaxing/holidays, so they may appreciate more the value of a calm sleep in the morning than weekend business clients. Last and less important issue: paying for wifi in the rooms in the year 2014? not a good image...
Location close to the subway- 5 stops to the center. Hotel is close to shop, bakery, pharmacy, kebab and bus stop. The staff is pleasant and helpful
!! Hotel on the website and on the booking dosn't inform you that !! the hotel is renovated. From 6:00 - 7:00am repair crew drilled and !! very noisy - Guests of the hotel have a wake up for this. After one !! day, we had to change the hotel. !! The room had no kettle or cups. Parking costs 25 euros per night. Low standard for this price.
Lobby info personel was exellent and friendly
Renoweed noise little disturped day time.brekfast prices were too high 50€ per coupé is too much
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, we had went to find waltz lessons that the staff told us about and we couldn't find the location and called and they gave us directions. They also went above and beyond with helping us get bus tickets back to Slovakia to catch our plane.
Bed Fast WiFi Restaurant (Lunch)
Scaffolding on outside of hotel (?Painting) Train/Tram noise
Very polite personal. A great breakfast buffe. Great restaurant. Close to U-BAHN and supermarket SPAR.
The bed was to hard to sleep in. The complexity with free internet. I need to ask to be sure not to be charged since login I have to choose tariff. And when check out it was included and had to ask to remove it even that it was suppose not to be included.
breakfast clean location
very comfortable, classy room, nice swimming pool. Not too far from the center by transportation. Nice staff.
the wify is very expensive and the free half hour short.
Not central location but very close to undergound, so 15 mins to get to the city center with benefits of lower price comparing to hotels in downtown. Staff is friendly (but not really interested in helping you).
Hotel is old and require total renovation. And... surprise - renovation is right there now with all its noise and other issues (no notice about this on booking.com or hotel website). Still it doesn't explain why towels are cheap and old too - could be replaced without waiting for renovation, couldn't they? Internet options - welcome to 90's - pretty expensive in a room and free 30 minutes per day in lobby.
The staff at the reception desk and in the bar was very friendly and quickly satisfied all of our needs. We also enjoyed the opulent breakfast.
Staff were the best. Good access to centre with Public transport. Restaurant
Rooms need refurbishing , which is due to open very soon
Very friendly staff, as expected for a Renaissance hotel. The breakfast is excellent! The swimming pool and excersise room were a nice to have. The hotel, however, is outdated, but they are working on renovating it. Looking forward to see the renewed hotel during our next visit.
The hotel is not located in the city centre, but can be reached easily by subway. The cleaning staff could pay more notion to replacing the soap/shampoo during the visit of the guests.
The hotel was fine, though there was Renovation work going on, it did not hamper my stay or my work. I was in an older club room, and whilst dated it was very comfortable and I slept very well. The aircon did not cool the room down much, but it was not really needed. My room overlooked the road and train lines, but being on a high floor helped. The food in the bar was very good, and you can order from the restaurants menu if you want.
The dated rooms
1. Wonderful Deal only if you managed to secure it early (with free WiFi and Breakfast). 2. Really close to Metro (U4), one stop away from Längenfeldgasse (U4 & U6), where you take the U6 to both Wien Meidling & Westbahnhof for rails. 3. Staff are friendly and caring. 4. Marriott standard breakfast which is excellent, as usual. 5. Fitness Centre & Pool are available.
1. WiFi access limited to single device, even for double room, which does not make sense. 2. No tea/coffee making facilities. 3. Bathrobe not available at Pool area (Note: Towels are available). 4. Pool is suitable for taking a dip/relaxation, not for serious swimmers.
Location very close to U-Bahn which is great for accessing all of beautiful Vienna has to offer Most staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful Pool facilities and lobby, bar,
Returned to the room and all toiletries were gone The carpet in our room was stained beyond belief
Every staff member at this hotel was excellent; always friendly and willing to help. The U-Bahn/Metro station, literally minutes from the hotel's front door, made getting around Vienna extremely easy.
The gym was small.
Breakfast, late afternoon respites in the lobby bar after site seeing, evening dinner at Orangerie (beef carpaccio!), pool, and ease of travel to city sites. This was our second stay at this hotel (Dec 2009)' and hope to come back again.
Wished we could have stayed longer.
Very close to public transport and nice clean room
No tea or coffee in the room, though free tea and coffee is available downstairs in the lobby.
