We spent a wonderful week in the hotel between 18.01.2014 and 25.01.2014. When we checked in, the owner of the hotel, Andreas gave us the check in form which is the same everywhere in Austria. The first small positive thing was that the form was pre-filled (with the data of our internet reservation) and I had to fill in only 2-3 blanks. This is not a big thing, but was something pleasantly different from other places. The first evening the dinner was an Italian buffet. This was the moment we realized we won't loose any weight (this was a 6-day skiing holiday). The food was first class. The breakfasts were simple, but the selection was always very good. For dinner we had menu selections most days. The first course was usually a soup, for the second there was a choice of three dishes (a meat, a vegetarian and a third one (e.g. pasta), and there was either a very delicious dessert or cheese. At breakfast we chose what we wanted at the evening. We do not speak German, so Andreas helped us and explained everything. He was very attentive and called us by name (which we found very friendly). One of the dinners for instance was buffet of typical Tyrolian dishes, we could try everything what we could read in the menu of a Hütte. The week was a real culinary tour... Andreas is a great host, he was always in the background, and was there to be of service and to take immediate action when needed (for example when we wanted to go to the sauna after skiing). The hotel is very cosy with a real tyrolian feel, spacious and clean room and a balcony overlooking the mountains, and the whole team was very kind and polite. I would recommend this hotel for everybody who wants to spend time in Alpachtal Seenland.
