I liked everything about the hotel. The staff were very helpful and made suggestions on what to see - one of which was to ride hotel bikes ( free of charge) along the Danube and through historical villages - loved every minute of it.

Good location in Melk. Excellent food in restaurant.

No privat parking on site ! Garage is not on site! Avoid rooms from 307 to 312, are far away from the elevator, is a small trip to get there! No minibar.

Charming, family owned for 21 years by wonderful couple we enjoyed getting to know, hard workers, great restaurant, in the old town right below the Abbey. Very helpful folks you would like to be your neighbors. We would return.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic along with food and service.

Relaxed place and staff, accommodated our early departure with breakfast before the usual time.

Charming small hotel at the foot of the astonishing Melk Abbey. Good value restaurant with standard Austrian cooking.

Typical small friendly Austrian hotel commonly found in small towns throughout the country. Clean, comfortable and lovely décor. Very good breakfast and very good evening meal.

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Hotel was able to accommodate our request for two beds in one room (not always easy in Europe). Breakfast was above average, many choices and plenty of seating. Hotel restaurant was average as far as food goes. Wait staff in hotel very friendly and helpful. Easy walk from train station to hotel, with luggage.

Hotel is not very well marked for finding at night. We walked from train station and walked right past it as it looks like just a restaurant from the front (lobby is not visible from doorway) and the hotel's signage is up on top of the third floor wall so difficult to see from sidewalk at night. The only reason we found it was because we recognized the street front from pictures on the internet. Still, don't let this deter you from staying here, it is a very charming hotel, worth the extra three minutes it took to find it.

The location is excellent,close to many little shops and Melk Abbey. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and lunch was excellent.

The location of the hotel is excellent. When the car drove into Melk, the hotel was right there on a small square. The name of the hotel is very obvious on the wall, so you won’t miss it. The hotel also has a restaurant, which looked popular locally. The breakfast setting was beautiful.

The room seemed to be ready late in the afternoon, but I was able to leave my things inside the room (just the bedding was not ready).

A lovely place to stay. We had a spacious room that was very comfortable with a separate seating area. Wi fi worked well. The breakfast was quite good. Great location right in the centre of Melk with secured parking offered nearby. Delicious restaurant for dinner in a gorgeous setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would happily choose this establishment again.

The lightning in the stairs and hallways. The lightning comes on automatically but does not really go into the two steps between the elevators level and the hallway levels. In between these two levels there are two steps stairs that are a real concern for unsuspecting guests. Soap in the shower was non existant.

7 minute walk to Abby

Poor quality food. Breakfast is not enjoyable. Rooms are nothing special and in need of remodel. No attention to details. Stay 20 minutes away and at some more impressive hotels (relais and château for example)

The location was perfect for the city center and the Stift Melk. The restaurant was gourmet and they also had a tasty ice cream paulor. Service was very good. The temperatures were hot and they brought us a fan which cooled the room comfortably. Decor was well done and everything was well maintained. Parking easy. We would recommend, but not a budget hotel.

Great central location for exploring Melk; nice quite room; cheerful staff; impressive breakfast included, not just the usual breads, cheese and meat slices.

Perhaps unclutter the reception area. A little confusing when first coming in from the street - doors in and out of kitchen, child play area, lost of distractions near the front desk.

The food is great, location is convenient.

The location was great.It was close to all stores, to the Abby,and it was close to all roads. The restaurant is very good. We had the best dinner there out of the nine days we stayed in Austria.
