beautiful grounds & outside pool area. parking available right on property. Excellent breakfast buffet. Super clean

no air conditioning. We had a room on the river side which got all day sun and thus the room was much too warm in the evening. We opened windows but were afraid that starlings or other small birds would come in as well as yellow jackets

Staff were extremely friendly. From the front desk to the restaurant, everyone was so nice. The food at the restaurant is also amazing, and the rooms were very comfortable. The garden was without compare and so relaxing. I have no question that I would stay here again. This hotel is fantastic!!

Wifi was indeed spotty, but we had no problem connecting in the room or in the lobby.

We stayed in this hotel (which is a converted abbey) with our friends to spend the Easter days in the Wachau region. The hotel has a phantastic location in the centre of the small village of Dürnstein, we got rooms directly with view to the Danube. It was very quiet and relaxing and all the personnel was very attentive and helped us with good ideas. We had twice a dinner, once in the hotel restaurant and once in the terrace with view to the Danube. In both cases the dinner was excellent, also the service was good. The hotel has also a nice swimming pool and an impressive garden to relax, the pool obviously was still closed because of still relatively cool air. A place worth to visit! We can only recommend it.

Room prices are on the higher end, but considering the overall situation still acceptable.

The Location, in downtown and near the river. Free Cycles were available.

The Room had slanting roof and was congested. They stuffed 4 of us in to the room and thank god we had to stay only 2 nights.

Almost everything about this hotel was fantastic. The small and very picturesque town of Durnstein can get crowded with tourists during the day but the hotel is set apart and is very peaceful. Our lovely bedroom overlooked the beautiful garden and swimming pool. Breakfasts were very good with an excellent choice of food. We also enjoyed having dinner on the terrace overlooking the Danube. The staff were very nice and we must make a special mention of our very friendly and enthusiastic chambermaid! There was a lot to do in the area and we hope to come back again.

The dinners were good but quite expensive. We paid less in Vienna later in our holiday in similar types of restaurant for food which was just as good.
