This friendly, family-run hotel is located in the picturesque pilgrimage town of Maria Taferl in Lower Austria, only a few steps from the famous basilica. Hotel Rose offers comfortable and cozy rooms, some of which have a balcony and views of the Danube River. The big, south-facing terrace affords beautiful views of the Danube and the Alps. International and regional dishes, as well as refined wines from the Wachau, are served in the big dining hall, in the cozy beer lounge and in the traditional castle cellar. When the weather's nice you can also dine on the terrace. A golf course is a short walk away. The Danube Bike Path is in the immediate vicinity. Hotel Rose is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Wachau Valley, for scenic cuisse on the Danube, and for hikes and bike tours along the Danube or in the Waldviertel region. Hotel Rooms: 50

Einmalige Lage mit herrlichem Blick auf das Donau-Tal. Vernünftiges Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis. Etwas hellhörige Zimmer bei unruhigen Zimmernachbarn.

Herausragende Lage, angenehme Zimmer. Keine Beschwerde, aber wissenswert: Das Hotel wird von Wallfahrtsbusreisenden frequentiert. Folge: Für Nicht-Pauschalreisende ist die Restaurantnutzung fast unerträglich. Fahren die Busse früh wieder ab, wird dementsprechend früh zB das Buffet-Frühstück wieder abgeräumt.
