Hotel Maximilian is in the heart of Innsbruck’s Old Town, next to a pedestrian zone. It features free Wi-Fi and provides rooms with a flat-screen TV. The Golden Roof is just a 3-minute walk away.
Score from 1309 reviews Wonderful
Style, room - a suite with corner window and seat. The local 'wild ' menu at the restaurant.
Location great, close to train and next door to Old Town. Spacious, lovely room. Breakfast was a a banquet of wonderful, food. Staff very pleasant & helpful.
Too much street noise to open the windows at night so had to run air conditioning.
Good location Near parking garage Good breakfast Good wifi Great bathroom Neat city center
No free parking Hotel lobby on second floor with a very small elevator. Pub in the bottom floor, and Smoking is allowed inside the pub!! Have not seen that in Europe for at least 8 year!! Due to this a visit in the local pub was not an option! Lack of english speaking tv channels. We paid for the parking in the parking garage, but when checking out we were told the hotel had a reserved parmking place for us...nobody told us at check-in.
Short walk to city centre. Parking across street. Helpful friendly staff. Restaurant serves delicious evening meals. Breakfast included which included wide range of cereals, pastries, breads, cold meats, cheese, juices, teas.
No tea or coffee making facilities. This may be typical of Austrian hotels as no others have either!
Location, most of the places in a walk distance. "Romantic" in the name of the hotel is in line with compact and lovely style. Cosy two-storey suite with a spa bath tub (level of a deluxe room). View on mountains. Friendly and helpful staff, at check-in and by further questions there were always two staff members, willingly attentive. A good breakfast, boys at the service (they were also throughout the day at dinner time, by the terrace) are also attentive and acted promptly. Umbrella among other accessories in the room.
Would be nice to have a welcoming bottle of water in a room at this price level. A bit noisy because of some bar on the street in the evening, although it wasn't critical for us.
Excellent location, we got a free upgrade to a Versace room. Not our style but that's a matter of taste. Breakfast ok.
Streetnoise. Windows have to stay closed.
Location is good, parking was very close by and reasonable priced, good wifi, nice rooms, helpful staff. - Breakfast was amazing, great selection of food and very nice coffee with great service.

Great welcome. Super room, Great location
Air- con not great
The staff was amazing...especially Karin at reception. She gave me an adapter for my computer, provided a wonderful upgrade and had excellent advice. The breakfast had great variety and always plentiful. The massage was also perfect.
The wellness area was quite small and sometimes crowded.
Varieties of Breakfast.
Great wifi Central location Very nice spa (working from 4PM)
-) Lazy staff (we asked for room availabilty at reception and first they told us there was nothing, then they have given us a hogher price than what find on Booking so we booked with our smartphone directly at reception) -) Noisy room on the street (should be fine only during cold weather we you don't need to open the window to refresh the room temperature) -) Tired Carpet and old fashioned room -) Extra cost for parking -) Breakfast not included
The breakfast was great.
I booked for a single person and my room had an single bed in it, so could sleep 3. The bed was very uncomfortable, The mattress was hard- just worn out and no padding in it. Dinner service was slow, in a restaurant with 3 tables taken it took me 2 hours.
The hotel was an easy walk from the train station and the old town. The staff was very nice and the small bar in the hotel was great for a drink before or after dinner.
Loved everything about the little bar except that smoking was allowed.
Upon our arrival, the staff made us feel like family, important to us, especially after our 8 hour trip getting to Innsbruck. Their location from the train station is 7 min which makes it easy to get to after the long trip.
Having to leave.
Everything! We had a beautiful room with a fireplace. The hotel accommodated us with 2 beds. The staff was VERY nice and very helpful. The location was excellent. We didn't eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on the restaurant, but it smelled great!
It rained a lot. Too bad the hotel can't control the weather! Seriously though, there was nothing that we didn't like.
Comfort, Restaurant, Location all first class. Staff were very helpful.
My only complaint was an uncomfortable bed.
Good restaurant. Nice decor. Convenient walk into town centre
It's close to the city center, silent, comfortable
The room has to be upgraded and renewed.

Hotel was in an excellent location to explore Innsbruck on foot. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and local foods. Room was ok.
The room was in the front of the hotel on a busy street. It finally quieted down about 3 am - - - 5 hours after we wanted to be asleep.
Rooms and location. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing we didn't like. , a bit pricey, but most hotels are expensive in Europe.
The staff was the friendliest and most helpful that I have encountered anywhere. The room was far nicer than we would have ever expected. Breakfast was excellent. The location is ideal. Great value as well as a truly wonderful hotel.
