general hotel facilities. Gym and sauna. Location.
Smoking customers in front of hotel!!!
Relatively near the centre(around a 15 minute walk) with a bus to the airport right outside which runs every 15 minutes. Clean room, easy check-in, didn't use any other facilities
Bathroom wasn't quite up to scratch(slow flowing water), although it advertises itself as in the centre, it's a 15 minute walk to the old town and the station along fairly busy roads.
Comfortable and modern clean room, the only hotel to have a kettle (stayed in 5 hotels during a week in Germany and Austria). Location was perfect for travel to and from the station by foot and into town. On a tram route.
Great size room and lovely view from 2nd floor, perfect for both my wife and I and our 2 small kids, nice breakfast. Nice New Years dinner at sister hotel.
Unfriendly front office male manager, however the very friendly and helpful bar lady who was also the room service manager and restaurant waitress made up for that. Internet in room not great.
The staff were very friendly and did their best to solve our problems immediately. We're very grateful for that. The location was prime: only 15 minutes by foot and you're walking the grand cobbled streets of Salzburg. The atrium near the reception desk is modern and funky with a bar. We stopped there for a drink. The tea & coffee making facilities in the room were greatly appreciated and not all hotels in Europe offer it. This was a welcome relief after a long drive.
Our room heating system was broken and didn't work. The friendly staff tried to fix it but it was dead so we were given a little column heater to heat the room but it took forever. Our first night was a chilly one! The wifi only worked by the door. We called it our "Wifi corner" and we had to work sitting on the ground by the door. The refrigerator was turned off and unplugged when we arrived and we had food. Not a big deal but there there was only one plug and many devices. The interior in our room was very dated with a serious lack of power sockets (perhaps two in the whole room?). It reminded me of staying in motels in the 80s. The room we stayed in was very different to the website pictures.
Very quite and nice back yard view from the room. Worm and confortable room
The free wifi is slow
Fantastic quality of service. Pretty tidy and clean.
The bed is somewhat narrow. My room did not find the wifi signal.
Good location and clean room, comfortable beds.
The internet connection was really poor or not existing in the room.
Stylish carpet, it was a surprise. Location is ok, restaurant is good to a starving people.
Wifi is poor. I choose their hotel because they have sauna, but during the 3 nights of my stay, the sauna was out of use for 2 nights and they didn't even fix it.
This hotel gives a comfortable stay . Its good to have secure underground car parking . Tea coffee and a kettle in the room with a fridge available is a nice touch . Better still was a gym and sauna another lovely facility of this good value for money hotel.
Location of hotel is on a main road , Next to a petrol station. So don't expect a room with a view. Location is about 10 minutes walk into the centre of Salzburg.
very comfortable and spacious rooms, view
noisy from the side of gas station and when heating was on
Good sleep,clean room,nice size room
Internet was very poor, best signal was sitting in bathroom (wc)
very beautiful and quiet room professional staff very good breakfast excelent location
The hotel was spotless and spacious with excellent staff to assist guests. Practical bathroom. Able to open windows for crisp fresh air rather than run the air conditioner. .
Very poor Wifi. Location was sort of out of the way for tourists Restaurant closed on Sundays. Two Mercure hotels within a few hundred metres of each other.
For the money I would have expected it to be a bit better and cleaner, there were hairs in the bathroom and it could have been better. The location was not great, but you could walk to the old town in about 15 mins or so.
That we had a roof on top of our heads (it was raining when we went there).
The standard room was very small, with very old furniture, and not at all like the pictures on the website. We bought an upsale (30 Euro) for a superior room - it was nicer, a bit bigger than the standard room, with modern furniture but we got frozen despite the fact we set the air conditioning at 30 Celsius Degrees. The king-size bad is provided with 2 very small blankets (L=1.8 m X l=0.6-0.7 m) - if you move close to your wife, you lose the blanket on the way... The WiFi promoted as "available everywhere in the hotel" is actually available only in the reception area (and this was frankly admitted by the receptionist). In all other areas, the strength of the signal was insufficient for actual use. They say it's 15 minutes walk to the centre - it took us 10 minutes to get there by car, with a GPS (otherwise, not advisable - the parkings are quite expensive - 2.5 Euro/hour).
Great hotel, friendly staff and helpful.
Wifi was very slow
The room is large and bright, and it's about 15--20mins' walk from the Central station to the hotel. Totally, nice.
Clean, smart rooms with good modern facilities Good price Nice decor
No wi-if in bedroom, had to sit in corridor to connect! Staff could be more knowledgeable about public transport. Expensive breakfast
Was clean overall and relatively quite for sleeping. Rooms were decent and bathroom facilities were good.
Staff had no clue about what was in the neighborhood, and not too helpful about sightseeing. Poorly managed front desk, with untrained staff. Pretty long walk to city center. Neighborhood pretty run down.
Helpful staff Secure parking
WiFi did not work in my room (right at the end of the corridor). 15 euros for breakfast
Excellent pleasant evening receptionist. Room ok easy walk into centre.
Dark room decor but actually still very good and comfortable.
No working bikes Unhelpful staff Photocopy maps!!!!
Nice Interior design, kind restaurant staff and secure car parking in basement.
We were surprised to open the room door and find a lady still occupying the room.. Long line waiting to reach the receptionist.. no valet.. no bell boy.. useless wifi.. one iron and iron board for the whole hotel placed in the lobby where other people can see you ironing your clothes.. house keeping do not wash the used glasses or clean the table.. many rude staff members.. very small single clothes cabinet (~40 cm wide).. no swimming pool..expensive car parking fee. As a frequent traveler, this was the worst hotel i've stayed in.
The hotel offers high quality rooms and facilities and is only a 10-minute walk away from the old city centre. Free parking in the streets around the hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very sharply priced compared to other hotels in Salzburg
