Nice location, nice staff, nice room and nice free breakfast.
Cleanness Breakfast Staff
Hotel Savoy Garni was beautifully located on a quiet street off Mariahilferstrasse (very convenient to shopping, metro, trams, buses) It was within very easy walking distance of the Museumquartier, and all the important buildings you might want to visit off the Ringstrasse. The room #43 was spacious, and beautifully appointed. The bathroom spotless, modern, impressive. The entire hotel was impeccably clean. You could eat off the marble floors. Some complain that the breakfast room is too small We found that if it was crowded, the lobby was set up most charmingly for the overflow, and just as, if not more, pleasant than the beautiful breakfast room. The staff were unflaggingly cheerful and helpful, and added to the wonderful hospitality, convenience and luxury. I REALLLLLLY loved this hotel.
Location , good restaurants in linden street
Location Clean Stuff Breakfast
Interiors and old-fashioned look-alike furnishings and decorations
Accross street grocery shop deliveries arrive early in the morning - noisily. Make sure your windows are closed properly if you want sleep longer
Tbe hotel was renewed. It was small but friendly. And in a vood location
Good size room. The lift is pretty small. Decent breakfast and they accomodated an early checkout for us to catch a train. Pay attention to the short cut they tell you about to get to the metro.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Location
No lift Poor bfast spread
Good location kindly staff
Breakfast room was very small and you must use lobby if you are late
location clean staff
breakfast lousy pillows small TV
The hotel was very conveniently situated. Yes, the breakfast room is compact but it did not cause us any issues. Breakast provided was excellent quality. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We would certainly recommend the hotel to anybody and have already done so.
We were at the front of the hotel and it was certainly noisier than the very quiet village where we live. Still managed to sleep with the window open!
location is excellence
named boutique is too loud
Close to city centre
Umbrella in each room. Friendly older receptionists.
Young male receptionist was somewhat rude, interrupting me to talk to the people behind me. No AC means the rooms get hot at night and you need to leave the fan on. Breakfast room cramped, fruit salad from a tin.
Centrally located with a few metres away from the shopping street Mariahhilferstrasse, a spacious room (got a double room instead of a single one for the same price), nice though repetitive breakfast, fabulous bathroom with a separate toilet, a biomarket right opposite the hotel, the nearest subway stop "Volkstheater" just 5 minutes from the facility. Really good value for the money.
Some of receptionist seem to be quite rude. There is considerable noise from the street and the volume of TV channels is set so it is impossible to watch some stations with the window open - which is something I consider really inappropriate from the guest's point of view.
Spacious room, very clean, little balcony
Wifi did not on my mobile, because room was too far from router. Breakfast could have been better
Perfect location, large room, it has a cozy style.
No a/c in the room: in August, despite the fan available, the room was an oven. Then there are basically no plugs in the room, awkward to recharge electronic devices. Tiny breakfast room.
Good position in city but still quiet.
Dining room is a bit small.
we staied the first time during Xmas holidays and all was ok; then we came back in august and the room was terribly hot... it is a pity because all other items are good
room was hot in august; wifi improveable
Everything is neat and clean, the room was quite large and the location was probably the best. We didn't need to use any trams or subways, the famous locations in Vienna are in a walking distance.
Just like other visitors noticed, the rooms facing the streets are quite noisy in the morning hours while the garbage is taken away. Also, the beds are far too soft, most people like that, but our back still hurts beacuse of the matress. The breakfast room is really small, in peak hours some guests had to wait outside for a vacant table - but breakfast was quite good indeed.
We liked the location, near to the city centre. The rooms looked nice, a sort of shabby old chic.
No air conditioning. It was getting untolerable during night, there was no air, so we had to wake up and open the windows... The breakfast was scarce. And one morning I had severe stomach cramps after it...Coffee was not good at all. But the blonde lady in the breakfast area was really warm and polite.
The location is good for tourists, near the U Bahn and within walking distance of the city centre attractions and shopping. The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. Room was facing the courtyard so was quiet. Nice old Vienna decor.
No A/C in room, can be a problem in summer in Vienna. The breakfast was good but breakfast room is too small and crowded. Elevator is very small.
Fantastic location! Close to everything and a subway (U-Bahn) nearby. Large rooms and nice bathroom. The room even had a walk-in closet! The rooms are not air-conditioned (welcome to Europe), but there is a portable electric fan in the room. Problem solved. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you drive, the hotel has a garage as well. The WiFi is fast and easy to connect to. This place is well worth the money. The only reason I didn't give this hotel an excellent rating is because the breakfast room is too small.
We had a dog with us and the staff prepared two dog's bowls and even a chewing stick for the dog, and a sleeping blanket for her.
Small room, no A/C, thus no sleep with the open window and trash being thrown into containers all the night long and all the containers being emptied early in the morning
