Hotel Schloss Mönchstein  

The Schloss Monchstein is a beautiful, small hotel set in a 15th century castle which overlooks Salzburg. We were 3 friends traveling to Salzburg for fun and the hotel was kind enough to upgrade our room to a Jr. Suite which gave us plenty of room and closet space. The room was very nice, super clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and extremely accommodating. They even opened the bar lounge very late one evening just for us when we wanted one more glass of wine! Oh, and we also used the Spa for massages and pedicures and were quite pleased with all of our treatments.

The only problem is also one of the beautiful things about this hotel: the hill location. It is directly above the old city and during the day you have access to the elevator located in the Museum of Modern Art. This is perfect and it lets you out right on to the major shopping streets in the Old City. However if you are out late at night (after 11 or 12 ) the elevator will be closed so you can either walk the extremely steep and curvy road or take a taxi. Not really a complaint but something to think about. Also the elevator closes around 6pm on Mondays.

The building, the room, the restaurant, the staff

Not the best choice for the families with small babies. Limited choice of meals for dinner and for room service, if you ask to prepare the soup for small baby they will do, but charge you as in gourmet restaurant. Location is fabulous unless you are with the trolley, the walk to the lift to the citycenter is a bit exhausting in this case and there are staircases you can not avoid

Das Hotel ist ewas ganz besonderes, die Lage mit der Aussicht ist der Wahnsinn! Wir sind mit Hund gereist und auch der wurde sehr freundlich begrüßt!

Excelente hotel, com atendimento diferenciado. As acomodações são excepcionais e a localização, a alguns minutos do centro histórico, passando por um bosque muito bonito e por um museu, com uma vista maravilhosa! Ainda tivemos todo o apoio dos funcionários do hotel para resolver um probelma com o carro que havíamos alugado. Foi tudo perfeito, inesquecível!

La localisation exceptionnelle, la qualite de l accueil, un tres bon spa, bref parfait pour visiter Salzbourg. Les chambres sont un peu petite mais cela va avec cet hotel (tres peu de chambre dans un Schloss transforme). . Nous recommandons vivement cet hotel.

Une seule petite suggestion: elargir un peu le buffet du petit dejeuner bien que tout soit disponible a la carte avec un service a l'ancienne, je pense que l hotelpeut trouver le bon compromis entre buffet et service a table.

Понравилось все: расположение в живописном месте, фешенебельный номер, выход из номера прямо в сад, фрукты и кекс домашнего приготовления в подарок, роскошный ресторан.

Everything was excellent in the room.

The breakfast would be better if it is open buffet so one can selectwhat he likes, although the table service might be meant for a gourment service, but it is firing back. The food selection in room service is limited.

ホテルのスタッフが　みんな親切な対応をしてくれました　ロケーションが素晴らしく山々や広がる街並を眺めながらの食事は　最高の贅沢です　部屋のバスルームからも森や教会が間近に見え素晴らしかったです　非日常体験として　また森林浴によるリフレッシュを求める人にはお勧めです　ウエルカムドリンク、ベッドメイキングの際にさりげなく置かれたチョコレートなど　暖かなもてなしが嬉しかったです

街へのアクセスについて、エレベーターなどの場所など丁寧に教えてくれた。
